Bishop urges Christians to call God 'Allah'
Catholic leader believes it would help ease tensions between religions

Bishop Tiny Muskens (Catholic churches in the Netherlands should use the name Allah for God to ease tensions between Muslims and Christians, says a Dutch bishop.

Tiny Muskens, the bishop of Breda, told the Dutch TV program "Network" Monday night he believes God doesn't mind what he is called, Radio Netherlands Worldwide reported.
The Almighty is above such "discussion and bickering," he insisted.
Muskens points to Indonesia, where he served 30 years ago, as an example for Dutch churches. Christians in the Middle East also use the term Allah for God.

Bill Jax writes an open letter:

"Your Grace,

If 'God doesn't mind what he is called', why not call upon Muslims to call Allah God? or even Jesus?

If you are a man of God, then why not call upon Muslims to stop this 'bickering'?

This 'bickering' that includes the murder of a film maker, the slicing off of female genitals etc?

If I shout loud enough, black my face with boot polish and behead a few nuns, will you call upon Christians to call God Beelzebub?

Or perhaps you will try to scrub that streak of yellow a yard wide off your back and stand up!

Yours, with all the contempt you deserve, Bill Jax.

Our war is not one of religion but GLOBALISATION

Well put anon and unbeliever the bishop should be imploring muslims to refer to God in the native tongue of his Country, not asking his own to speak Arabic!
What we are witnessing here is the Black Church that has been hidden behind the Establishment religions pulling the strings, ready and waiting for this day they sell us out.
Its not necessary to abandon your beliefs but to realize true Christianity is about each and every Christian having a personal relationship with the divine, not about being a sheeple to some preacher in an organized establishment Church.

Perhaps the holy Bishop ought to read the Bible.

Gods name is Jehovah/Yahweh.

It's not too hard to find out.

I understand your predicament unbeliever...
All political ideologies are at war with everything people value, and fortunatly im neither political or religious I seek my own path, my own mind rather one imposed upon me.
Im in support of the BNP simply because politics is a system the State has enslaved me too as a way of finding representation but in truth I have always got by quit well representing myself and don't trust politicians of any party to do it for me.
