Stoke BNP Councillor calls for Independent inquiry over BNP activist murder

CALL FOR NORMACOT DISPUTE DEATH PROBE

A City councillor has asked a police watchdog to fully investigate a longstanding neighbourhood dispute after a man was stabbed to death. Michael Coleman has written to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) after Keith Brown, of Uttoxeter Road, Normacot, was killed outside his home.

Mr Coleman, a BNP councillor who represents the Weston and Meir North ward, said: "The neighbourhood dispute had been going on for some time."The police were called out several times, but they never got anywhere."I want an investigation into how it was dealt with."

Mr Brown died from a single stab wound last Friday.Habib Khan, aged 49, has appeared in court charged with his murder, and was denied bail at the brief hearing before North Staffordshire magistrates on Monday.

He will appear at Stafford Crown Court on July 16.

Six people were arrested in connection with the murder inquiry, and three men aged 19, 24 and 26 have been freed on police bail. A 32-year-old man and a 14-year-old girl who were previously arrested have now been released.

A police spokesman said: "Inquiries are still ongoing and there are still three people on bail."

According to local residents, the dispute between the neighbours had been going on for some time, but police have said they cannot comment as a result of the current investigation.

A force spokesman added: "Staffordshire Police has been asked to comment on an allegation made by a local councillor to a number of media organisations about previous incidents relating to the dispute between Keith Brown and his neighbour."

A formal complaint about the handling of these incidents has also been received, which has now been passed on to the force's professional standards unit."The deputy chief constable will appoint an investigating officer who will conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into the issues raised."

As a result of the current investigation into the previous incidents, Staffordshire Police are unable to comment on the specific points raised, but in general terms we will always investigate any information and will respond in an appropriate and measured way."A spokesman from the IPCC said: "Until Staffordshire Police's professional standards unit decides to record the complaint and refer it to us - if it meets the criteria for a referral - we will not get involved."If the decision is made to make the referral, we will investigate the complaint."

NWN: A good move by this BNP Councillor, but the pressure needs to be kept up on the Police and the IPCC who are yet another quango lover of the failed multi-racial experiment.

The IPCC employ many more ethnics than the Government requires, it's literally full of them.

The timing of this murder also suggests that this asian gang had just come out of their mosque after Friday prayer .

First rate intervention by Cllr Coleman, drawing attention to the key issue, but carefully phrased so that the party isn't accused of jumping on the bandwagon or exploiting grief.

Obviously it's a shame Steve Batkin isn't still on the council as well, since AFAIK he represented the ward concerned (or the one next door).
