Wigan Council has been rocked by two scandals' in the space of a few days.The former Chairman of Wigan Labour Party,Dorothy Abbott, has pleaded guilty to Benefit Fraud to the tune of £28,500, and has been told the she could face prison if found guilty.
A few days later the headlines of the local newspaper, ran an article about Councillor Joe Shaw.His home in Standish was raided by Police officer's who upon entering the premises, took away Councilor Shaw's computer, which allegedly contained images of child pornography.
Councillor Shaw was not at home at the time, so police officer's went to Wigan Town hall and detained Councillor Shaw as he left a council meeting .
Councillor Shaw represents the Wigan West ward of Wigan council and was elected in 2006.
The Wigan Labour party is 'rotten to the core' and Dorothy Abbott is involved with Wigan and Leigh United against Racism, a front group for the Anti Nazi League.
If Councillor Shaw is charged with this offence, I am sure his electorate would not want a peadophile as their Councilor.

Just about sums them up really - rotten & twisted! In relation to the paedo aspect, perhaps this is why so many of these 'upstanding' pillars of our society are so keen for us to be totally engulfed by a 'culture' who see sex with children as the norm?! May cretins such as these be served justice. God speed the British National Party to power!

Dear 'anonymous'. Please could you kindly clarify whether you are referring to the present organiser or the ex-organiser of 3-years ago? I work for our party alongside the present organiser, and I know exactly just how much time and effort he puts into this fight to regain our country. If you are actually referring to our organiser, I suggest that you need to get more involved in our democratic efforts to win back all that we hold dear, and then maybe you will see for yourself the immense amount of time and effort that he lovingly and freely gives for us. If you are referring to the ex-organiser, I feel that you are also being somewhat unfair: a leader's job is a thankless one - at least he was standing up for US. When there are people within your own ranks having a 'go' at you, who needs the Reds? I don't mean to be offensive to you, but, perhaps you should put more effort into unifying our party - OK, we may have different opinions about this and that, but we should all essentially be striving for the same goal... WIN OUR COUNTRY BACK
