British college punishes scholar for holocaust denial

College rejects Shoah denier

A university has withdrawn a researcher’s fellowship after he published an article claiming that the gas chambers of Auschwitz never existed. Nicholas Kollerstrom, an academic specialising in astronomy, posted the article, The Auschwitz “Gas Chamber” Illusion, on the website of the revisionist Committee for Open Debate on the Holocaust.

He claimed that only one million Jews died in the war and that “the only intentional mass extermination program[me] in the concentration camps of WW2 was targeted at Germans”. Dr Kollerstrom, 61, an honorary research fellow at University College London until Tuesday, stood by the claims this week, but expressed surprise that they had caused offence. And he insisted the university “had not actually told me what’s so terrible about the article”. He complained that he had been accused of “thought-crime” after spending months researching it. And he added: “If a smaller number were gassed, then surely the Jewish community should be pleased that it wasn’t so ghastly.”

He wrote: “Let us hope the schoolchildren visitors are properly taught about the elegant swimming-pool at Auschwitz, built by the inmates, who would sunbathe there on Saturday and Sunday afternoons while watching the water-polo matches; and shown the paintings from its art class, which still exist; and told about the camp library which had some 45,000 volumes for inmates to choose from, plus a range of periodicals; and the six camp orchestras at Auschwitz/Birkenau, its theatrical performances, including a children’s opera, the weekly camp cinema, and even the special brothel established there.

”Dr Kollerstrom, of St John’s Wood, North West London, said he prefers to call himself a revisionist rather than a denier.

Revisionists, he said, “want to look at European history without quite so much hate and bitterness”. He also claimed he was the victim of “a calumny” by bloggers who had accused him of far-right sympathies and posted on the internet an image doctored to show him in Nazi uniform.“I have some very good Jewish friends and have never had the slightest interest in the Nazi movement,” he said. “I never go to Germany. I have always belonged to things like the Green Party, CND and Respect.”A UCL spokesman said: “The views expressed by Dr Kollerstrom are diametrically opposed to the aims, objectives and ethos of UCL, such that we wish to have absolutely no association with them or with their originator. “We, therefore, have no choice but to terminate Dr Kollerstrom’s research fellowship with immediate effect.”

A source at the university also said that there had been concern at opinions Dr Kollerstrom had expressed regarding conspiracy theories over the July 7 2005 London bombings and the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. His areas of research include Newtonian theory and the 19th-century British discovery of Neptune. He is also the author of a yearly guide to Gardening and Planting by the Moon, which contains chapters on “Using the Star Zodiac” and “The Moon and Crop Yield”. Here is an extract from one of his postings on the CODOH website:“Zyklon-B was used at Auschwitz, as an insecticide. It was vital in attempting to maintain hygiene that mattresses be deloused. Cyanide gas was absorbed on to clay-type granules, designed to make the deadly gas as ‘safe’ as it could be.

“If you go to Auschwitz today, you can’t see any authentic gas chambers. You see stone huts, and experts have testified that they could not have been used to gas people, owing to problems in sealing them up (Zyklon-B released its cyanide gas rather slowly).”In another, he wrote: “The verdicts of Nuremberg were made final and binding for the post-war FRG [Federal Republic of Germany]. Germany has since paid a hundred billion Deutschmarks to Israel by way of Holocaust-compensation — clearly, that needs to be refunded. “Germany should take the advice of Iranian leader Ahmadinajad and stop paying it, because that funding provides undue motivation for holocaust ‘memories’. Germany is helping to maintain the holocaust legend, by thus aiding the state of Israel.”

Good Luck Julian Mitchell - Independent Nationalist In Dudley Elections

Julian Mitchell came close for the BNP in winning the Brockmoor & Pensnett seat in the Dudley elections in 2007. Now this 41 year old self employed ex RAF family man is standing again as an Independent Nationalist

After being "proscribed" by the BNP for attending a Voice of Change meeting, (The same meeting that saw Wolverhampton Organiser Steve Haddon and long term stalwart Ex Birmingham Organiser Rob Purcell fall out of favour with the Gri££inites), Julian has continued his promise to stand again.

5IMon Darby must have got wind of Julian's candidature and rushed through the nomination of a BNP candidate. It could well be that the BNP brand beats an Independent Nationalist. It's very difficult to educate the electorate about BNP corruption when most of the membership lack the means or the wherewithal to understand how things really are. I remember speaking to Freedom Party Chairman Adrian Davies at the 2004 elections in Sandwell about what at the time I perceived as a silly thing (ie The Freedom Party standing against the BNP.) I just couldn't comprehend the corruption of Gri££in then, and now I find myself in the same position of people like the Freedom Party in 2004. viz Respecting grass roots BNP but hating the rot at the top and of course having to handle the disdain of some of the less intelligent but well meaning people still in the Gri££in led British National Party, who must surely wake up one day !

Many people in the Black Country BNP have indeed woken up. Many of the previous activists including myself have helped out with Julian Mitchell's campaign. The local red riff raff aware of Julian's chances have put out an "Anti Julian" leaflet ! This could of course backfire....

My feeling is that we can't win this. On a personal level this will probably be the last time I get involved "on the ground". Never the less, it has been the right thing to do. Julian Mitchell has shown tremendous character in standing. The consequences of his standing may not be the right result on the night, but a small beacon for others fighting their own lonely battles over the length and breadth of the country. Julian and myself speculated that in future a coalition of Independents may well circumvent the Establishment infiltration of formal political parties - ie by operating a cellular rather than an hierarchical "organisation".

How will the political landscape map out in the middle to long term ? I see the other main Establishment party (ie The Tories) taking over from Labour. Perhaps they will "need" to "talk tough" on immigration and the EU, but of course do nothing in practice. A severe depression may end the Labour/Conservative merry go round and cause people to wake up and start really thinking about things....There is a school of thought that says the various European treaties when fully implemented will end the existing British political parties.

I can't see Nationalism ever being the same again and in fact I believe it will need to broaden its base of support and speak to people it wouldn't have done to in the past. I believe national and world events will overtake many of the existing political structures in place at the moment. The main thing at the moment, perhaps, is to "move" in the right direction as best as we can.

Microsoft device helps police pluck evidence from cyberscene of crime

Microsoft has developed a small plug-in device that investigators can use to quickly extract forensic data from computers that may have been used in crimes.

The COFEE, which stands for Computer Online Forensic Evidence Extractor, is a USB "thumb drive" that was quietly distributed to a handful of law-enforcement agencies last June. Microsoft General Counsel Brad Smith described its use to the 350 law-enforcement experts attending a company conference Monday.

The device contains 150 commands that can dramatically cut the time it takes to gather digital evidence, which is becoming more important in real-world crime, as well as cybercrime. It can decrypt passwords and analyze a computer's Internet activity, as well as data stored in the computer.
It also eliminates the need to seize a computer itself, which typically involves disconnecting from a network, turning off the power and potentially losing data. Instead, the investigator can scan for evidence on site.

More than 2,000 officers in 15 countries, including Poland, the Philippines, Germany, New Zealand and the United States, are using the device, which Microsoft provides free.

"These are things that we invest substantial resources in, but not from the perspective of selling to make money," Smith said in an interview. "We're doing this to help ensure that the Internet stays safe."

Law-enforcement officials from agencies in 35 countries are in Redmond this week to talk about how technology can help fight crime. Microsoft held a similar event in 2006. Discussions there led to the creation of COFEE.
Smith compared the Internet of today to London and other Industrial Revolution cities in the early 1800s. As people flocked from small communities where everyone knew each other, an anonymity emerged in the cities and a rise in crime followed.
The social aspects of Web 2.0 are like "new digital cities," Smith said. Publishers, interested in creating huge audiences to sell advertising, let people participate anonymously.
That's allowing "criminals to infiltrate the community, become part of the conversation and persuade people to part with personal information," Smith said.
Children are particularly at risk to anonymous predators or those with false identities. "Criminals seek to win a child's confidence in cyberspace and meet in real space," Smith cautioned.
Expertise and technology like COFEE are needed to investigate cybercrime, and, increasingly, real-world crimes.

"So many of our crimes today, just as our lives, involve the Internet and other digital evidence," said Lisa Johnson, who heads the Special Assault Unit in the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
A suspect's online activities can corroborate a crime or dispel an alibi, she said.
The 35 individual law-enforcement agencies in King County, for example, don't have the resources to investigate the explosion of digital evidence they seize, said Johnson, who attended the conference.

"They might even choose not to seize it because they don't know what to do with it," she said. "... We've kind of equated it to asking specific law-enforcement agencies to do their own DNA analysis. You can't possibly do that."
Johnson said the prosecutor's office, the Washington Attorney General's Office and Microsoft are working on a proposal to the Legislature to fund computer forensic crime labs.

Microsoft also got credit for other public-private partnerships around law enforcement.

Jean-Michel Louboutin, Interpol's executive director of police services, said only 10 of 50 African countries have dedicated cybercrime investigative units.
"The digital divide is no exaggeration," he told the conference. "Even in countries with dedicated cybercrime units, expertise is often too scarce."
He credited Microsoft for helping Interpol develop training materials and international databases used to prevent child abuse.
Smith acknowledged Microsoft's efforts are not purely altruistic. It benefits from selling collaboration software and other technology to law-enforcement agencies, just like everybody else, he said.

About two weeks ago, I spoke at a unique and remarkable political meeting in south London. Other speakers included the candidates from the major parties, each battling to become London's new mayor. On the wall behind us was a huge poster, portraying and attacking the British National party (BNP). Yes, we have major political differences on many issues, but against the far right, we were and remain united and ready to speak out, with one voice.

Of course, Britain has a long history of fighting fascism and racism. We remember the Battle of Cable Street in 1936. Anti-fascists - from ardent socialists to Irish Catholic dockers, from honourable freedom fighters to the local Jewish population - all joined forces to erect roadblocks and defy Oswald Mosley and his Blackshirts, preventing them from marching through east London.

My late father, Barnett Janner, had been MP for Whitechapel and St George's from 1931-1935, and I still remember my family's disgust and hatred at the racist evils of the Blackshirts. Happily, they were roundly beaten and had little political impact.

Then came the war - this time, an international battle against nazism, fascism and racism, in all its forms. We won - and we believed that the evils of Hitler's philosophies were buried for ever.

So today, Britain is a bustling, multicultural, multiracial nation - with churches and temples, mosques and synagogues. We are proud of our democracy, in all its forms. And recent immigrants have made their valuable contribution to our national culture.

All four of my grandparents migrated to Britain from eastern Europe in the 1880s. They saw Britain as land that offered peace, tranquillity and respect for minorities - in their case, for their Jewish beliefs and standards. So how sad it is that we are seeing attacks on our British diversity of cultures, especially from the far right. The BNP, among their policies and ideologies, seek the repatriation of immigrants to their countries of origin. The BNP is not prepared to accept the diversity of our races and colours, our religions and our origins.

Today, we do not need to build roadblocks on the streets to combat the threat from the BNP. Instead, on May 1, we all have the chance to ensure that the threat from the far right is minimised, at the ballot box. Of course, we shall each choose our own mainstream party - and we should not forget that south London political gathering, where the democratic voice was clearly heard - which I was proud and happy to echo.

Britain has a fine tradition of fighting fascism. Next Thursday, every Londoner's vote counts. Please use yours, for decency, democracy, coexistence and goodwill. Please join with those candidates, who differ greatly on many policies, but spoke out with one voice against today's dangers from the far right.

As a result of representations from the Leicester-based organization "Parents Against Paedophilia", I have decided to lend my support to the campaign for a Paedophile Register. How can we expect young boys to behave decently if adult sexual perverts are allowed to abuse them? How can we expect the young top respect the law if such perverts are able to escape punishment simply because they hold powerful positions in society? It is in this connection that I nominate GREVILLE JANNER, QC [Queen's Counsel], M.P. [Member of Parliament] as candidate No. 1 for inclusion in the Register.

JANNER is a child molester well known to the police. An active file on his activities has been maintained at Scotland Yard since even before the eruption of the Leicester Children's Home scandal of 1991, which led to the jailing of the notorious paedophile Frank Beck. Damning evidence concerning JANNER's sustained sexual abuse of a 13 year-old boy in care emerged during Beck's trial, but JANNER was shielded by the then Director of Public Proescutions, Sir Alan Green---who resigned shortly after as the result of a "kerb-crawling" incident.

JANNER used the device of a 'Personal Statement' to deny all the accusations against him. Statements to the House of Commons of this kind, apart from being covered by Parliamentary privilege, are exempt from the usual interjections *and questions* from other MPs. After making his statement JANNER was invited by the prtess to answer their questions *outside* the privileged confines of the House. He refused to do so, and refused to explain why.

Thus it may be seen that his subsequent claims to have been "cleared by Parliament of all accusations" is utterly untrue. JANNER ducked a genuine opportunity to clear his name by taking legal action against his former victim who, as a grown man, has re-iterated his evidence outside the protection of the witness box.

Instead of quitting public life, JANNER simply kept his head down for a while. Now, in the mistaken belief that the dust from the Frank Beck affair has settled, JANNER has had the impudence to take a leading role in the crusade to recover "Holocaust Loot" allegedly held in Swiss banks.

Thanks to "Parents Against Paedophilia", the Swiss media and banking community have been circulated with copies of the booklet IS GREVILLE JANNER ABOVE THE LAW? which details the evidence (much of it given on oath, by several witnesses) about his conduct. A Swiss diplomatic protest is expected soon which will bring disgrace on our Parliament and legal profession.

The Speaker of the House of Commons has said that the reputation of the whole House has been called into question over the "Cash For Questions" affair, and that the whole issue must be resolved quickly. Recently Labour leader Tony Blair spoke of his dream of a Britain built on strong family values. But is the "Cash For Questions" scandal more important than the scandal of a Member of Parliament and Queen's Counsel gratifying his lusts on a defenceless child in his care? I ask you all to write to your Member of Parliament about these issues now, and inform me of the response you receive.

I got this as an email, from a friend from Tasmania and thought I should share it with you.



Last week I was in Melbourne attending a conference.

While I was in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me beginning to clap and cheer.

I immediately turned around and witnessed one of the greatest acts of patriotism I have ever seen.

Moving through the terminal was a group of soldiers in their uniforms,as they began heading to their gate everyone (well almost everyone) was abruptly to their feet
with their hands waving and cheering.

When I saw the soldiers, probably 30-40 of them, being applauded and cheered for, it hit me.
I'm not alone.
I'm not the only red blooded Australian who still loves this country  and supports our troops and their families. Of course I immediately stopped and began clapping for these young unsung heroes who are putting their lives on the line everyday for us so we can go to school, work, and enjoy our home without fear or reprisal.

Just when I thought I could not be more proud of my country or of our service men and women a young girl, not more than 6 or 7 years old, ran up to one of the male soldiers.

He knelt down and said 'hi,' the little girl then asked him if he would give something to her daddy for her.

The young soldier didn't look any older than maybe 22 himself, said he would try and what did she want to give to her daddy.

Suddenly the little girl grabbed the neck of this soldier, gave him the biggest hug she could muster and then kissed him on the cheek.

The mother of the little girl, who said her daughters name was Courtney, told the young soldier that her husband was a Corporal and had been in Afghanistan for 5 months now.

As the mum was explaining how much her daughter, Courtney, missed her father, the young soldier began to tear up.

When this temporarily single mum was done explaining her situation, all of the soldiers huddled together for a brief second.

Then one of the other servicemen pulled out a military looking walkie-talkie.

They started playing with the device and talking back and forth on it.

After about 10-15 seconds of this, the young soldier walked back over to Courtney, bent down and said this to her, 'I spoke to your daddy and he told me to give this to you.'

He then hugged this little girl that he had just met and gave her a Kiss on the cheek.

He finished by saying 'Your daddy told me to tell you that he loves you more than anything and he is coming home very soon.'

The mum at this point was crying almost uncontrollably and as the young soldier stood to his feet he saluted Courtney and her mum.

I was standing no more than 6 feet away as this entire event unfolded.

As the soldiers began to leave, heading towards their gate, people resumed their applause.

As I stood there applauding and looked around, there were very few dry eyes, including my own.

That young soldier in one last act of moment turned around and blew a kiss to Courtney with a tear rolling down his cheek.

We need to remember everyday all of our soldiers and their families and thank God for them and their sacrifices.

At the end of the day, it's good to be an Australian.

RED FRIDAYS

Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday.

The reason?

Australian's who support our troops used to be called the 'silent majority'.

We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for Country and home in record breaking numbers.

We are not organized, boisterous or over-bearing.

We get no liberal media coverage on TV, to reflect our message or our opinions.

Many Australian's, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of Australia supports our troops.

Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that every Australian who supports our men and women afar will wear something red.

By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make Australia on every Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football team.

If every one of us who loves this country will share this with acquaintances, co-workers, friends, and family, It will not be long before Australia is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the once 'silent' majority is on their side more than ever, certainly more than the media lets on.

The first thing a soldier says when asked 'What can we do to make things better for you?' is...'We need your support and your prayers'.

Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example; and wear something red every Friday.

A FORMER Mayor of Hebden Royd has been arrested on suspicion of child porn offences.

Stewart Brown, 59, was a Labour candidate for the Elland ward in next month's council elections.But he has now been suspended from the Labour Party. Officers from the West Yorkshire Police Child Protection Unit arrested Mr Brown on Tuesday.

He was questioned by detectives before he was bailed, pending further investigation. A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "A 59-year-old man was arrested for possession and distribution of indecent images of children. "Police have been working closely with the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre." Mr Brown, a former Hebden Bridge town councillor and mayor of Hebden Royd, is a father-of-one and lives at Nutclough, Hebden Bridge.

He was a town councillor for more than 12 years and represented the Calder Valley on Calderdale Council between 1996 and 2000. He was Mayor of Hebden Royd in 2006. Mr Brown is a retired senior environmental health officer and, as part of his current election manifesto, has pledged to restore pride in Hebden Bridge.

He was not in at his Hebden Bridge address last night and neighbours said they had not seen him there for several days. One resident said: "Stewart is usually here but I saw him three or four days ago and that was the last time." He has represented a number of organisations, including the Calderdale Green Forum, Calder Civic Trust, and the Council for the Preservation of Rural England and the Hebden Bridge and District International Group.

Mr Brown was also chairman of the Labour Party's Calder Valley branch.

A spokesman for the Labour Party said: "Stuart Brown has been suspended from the Labour Party pending the completion of an investigation." A spokesman for Calderdale Council said election rules mean a candidate's name cannot be taken off the ballot paper once nominations close.

In calling for BNP members and supporters to give their second preference vote in the London Mayoral election to Tory, Boris Johnson, Griffin has wound up the Muslims and it's not a joke!

Here quoted from an article in the London Evening Standard dated 16th April :

"Nearly half a million London Muslim voters are being urged to support Ken Livingstone against Boris Johnson in the closing stages of the mayoral election, a year long strategy to mobilise the Muslim vote moves into overdrive this week, accompanied by a campaign of vilification aimed at Boris. Ken's Muslim supporters have made much of the fact that the British National Party urged its members to make Mr Johnson their second preference vote. Boris has rejected BNP support but Muslim groups argue that it proves he is the enemy and are now running a newspaper ad campaign against him, their campaigners are canvassing door-to-door and are targeting 60 key mosques in the capital with this message."


Of course, as well as Muslims voting for the Communist Livingstone 'en masse' against the Tory candidate, this will increase the voter turn out considerably, thus making it more difficult for Richard Barnbrook to win a seat on the London Assembly, as he will need a much higher percentage to break through the 5% barrier. Griffin has shot himself in the foot by making this foolish and irresponsible statement. Incredibly he even admitted publicly, recently, that he didn't really want BNP members voting Tory, but that the whole thing was just a publicity stunt!

This is not the first time a stupid public school boy stunt has back fired on Griffin. Do you remember when he first took over leadership of our party and printed leaflets critical of the Metropolitan police force, who then successfully sued the party in court. We never did hear the final sum, but at least £11,000 was paid out .

Now as well as helping Red Ken win a third term, we could lose out on the 1st May.

This article comments on the prospects of "former Italian Fascist" Fini.

Nirenstein dismisses Fini's "youthful indiscretions" by saying: "I don't know what more he could have done than to kneel at Yad Vashem".

Haaretz points out: "Obviously, this all touches on one of the central issues in Italy's recent election campaign: the immigrant issue.

Fini, who is slated to be appointed parliament speaker in Berlusconi's new administration, frequently talks about the need to ban illegal immigration."Doesn't all this rather remind us of an emerging scenario in Britain?

How soon before Nick Griffin borrows not merely Fini's electoral strategies but his penitential knee-pads prior to his necessary grovel at Yad Vashem?

Will somebody open a book on the date of that event?

Now, on this stage, Jews and zionist-fascists do march together, while independent far right and far left are both excluded. This is the trap the Jews had led the Europeans into: they began, like Fiamma, as leftists, and infiltrated the left; eventually, they discarded the subdued left; and re-created Zionist Fascism of Berlusconi, Sarkozy and Merkel.

The Israeli settler serving in Italy's parliament

by Meron Rapoport Almost 50,000 people live in Jerusalem's Gilo neighborhood, one of the largest in Israel. Up until now, it had no representative in parliament. As of this week, it does. Fiamma Nirenstein, a neighborhood resident for 10 years, was just elected to the Italian parliament. If we stick to the definitions of the UN, which views Gilo, on the capital's southern edge, as a settlement, one could say that Nirenstein is the first settler to be a member of a non-Israeli parliament. This week, in a series of phone calls to Rome, between the first reports of a close victory for the right-wing coalition, to which Nirenstein belongs, and the final reports of Silvio Berlusconi's sweeping victory, Nirenstein explained several times that she has not requested Israeli citizenship but that this bureaucratic fact does not affect her identity. "I feel as though I made aliyah," says Nirenstein in a conversation that fluctuates between Hebrew and Italian. In the elections, Nirenstein did not hide her Israeliness. Her campaign was centered on the view that Israel is Western democracy's vanguard in the struggle against world terror. "I ran for a place in parliament as a representative of the Liguria district. I held rallies in Genoa and other cities in the region," she recounts. "But I didn't talk with the people about local problems. I told them that the most important thing for their Italian identity is to stand by Israel's side." Nirenstein called her most recent book "Israele Siamo Noi" ("Israel Is Us"). By "us," she was referring, of course, to Italians.

Even though Italy hasn't experienced much in the way of terror attacks and the number of Muslim immigrants there is small compared with other countries in Europe, the talk about the importance of the fight against Islamic terror, or simply of how to deal with Islam in general, is very much present in contemporary Italian discourse. Oriana Fallaci devoted the last years of her life to writing books in which she forthrightly pegged Islam as the source of all the world's evil. Berlusconi himself, the unquestioned leader of the Italian right for more than a decade, explained at one of his appearances a few days ago: "We must be conscious of the superiority of our culture, which gave prosperity to people in countries that adopted it and ensures respect for human rights and religion.

This respect certainly does not exist in the Islamic countries." Perhaps this is the reason why Berlusconi and Gianfranco Fini, Berlusconi's partner and the former head of the neo-fascist party, proposed that Nirenstein join their joint list, Il Partito della Liberta ("The Party of Liberty"). Nirenstein's father arrived in Italy during World War II, as a soldier in the Jewish Brigade.

In Florence, he met her mother, who fought as a partisan against the fascist government and later against the Nazi regime.

"I was born as a communist," she says. In her youth she was part of the 1968 generation, founded the first feminist journal in Italy and worked at leftist newspapers. After the 1967 Six-Day War, a rift began to develop between her and her "communist comrades," who saw Israel as an occupying country. "I was confused for a long time," she says. "In 1982, I signed a petition against the First Lebanon War. Today I wouldn't sign it.

What did Israel gain from the withdrawal from Lebanon?"
To the right of Netanyahu Her first visit to Israel was as a reporter, and it was only after this initial visit that she returned in 1992 for the long term. For two years, she ran the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Tel Aviv, and after the Rabin assassination, she decided she had to stay in Israel. "I had the feeling that this was the most interesting place in the world, and I also felt that the reporting on Israel was biased." She did not obtain Israeli citizenship because she thought an Israeli passport would hinder her in her work, but aside from that, she also thinks that "every Jew in the world is an Israeli even if he's not aware of it. Anyone who doesn't know it is making a big mistake." In terms of the reality of Israel's current political system, Nirenstein is located to the right of Kadima and Labor, and maybe even of Likud Chair Benjamin Netanyahu. She says she believes in the idea of two states for two peoples, but thinks the principle of "territories for peace" has been a failure. There's no point in discussing it, she explains, until the entire Arab world is capable of recognizing Israel. Negotiations with Hamas are absolutely out of the question. But there are polls which indicate that a majority of Israelis are prepared to negotiate with Hamas. Nirenstein: "The public supports a compromise with Hamas, so that it will stop firing on Sderot. But morally speaking, there mustn't be negotiations with Hamas, which thinks that Jews are the sons of monkeys and pigs.

You can't negotiate with cannibals, who eat human beings." It's hard to argue with Nirenstein. Not just because of the poor quality of the phone connection to Rome, but also because she thinks that Israel is a beacon that should serve as inspiration for the entire West.

"Israel is the vanguard of all the democracies in the world, and the time has come for Europe to recognize that," she says. But in the election campaign you met with Italians who barely know where Israel is. How did you persuade them that Israel is important to their lives? "I said that Italy can learn a lot from Israel. It can learn what a true democracy is, how a democracy can survive in conditions of conflict, without forsaking its fundamental principles. Israel is a culture of life, a culture of people who are always seeking peace. Our problem in Italy is that sometimes we don't know who we are. You can know who you are if you know your enemy and your friend. Israel is Italy's friend." In other words, Islam is the enemy?

"I'm not saying that all Muslims are terrorists, or that all Muslims are criminals. But Hamas has announced that it wants to conquer Rome, to make it the outpost from which it will conquer all of Europe." And you think that Hamas really intends to conquer Rome? "Rome is a very symbolic place in the eyes of radical Islam. Italy, with its Catholic culture, is an enemy in the eyes of Islam."

Obviously, this all touches on one of the central issues in Italy's recent election campaign: the immigrant issue. Fini, who is slated to be appointed parliament speaker in Berlusconi's new administration, frequently talks about the need to ban illegal immigration. Even the moderate Social-Democractic party, led by the former mayor of Rome, Walter Veltroni, devoted a good amount of attention to the subject. "People feel that immigration is threatening their cities, their culture," Nirenstein explains. "Maybe it's exaggerated, but the residents of Florence, for example, think of their city as a temple for the works of art that were created there. When they see the steps of the Duomo filled with immigrants, they're in shock.

" I lived in Florence. I remember Italy as a tolerant country. "It's changed a lot. There are entire quarters that you can't enter at night. There's rape, there are assaults, there's drug dealing. There are schools for immigrants where they don't hang the crucifix. The immigrants have contempt for our culture. We gave them work and they scorn our values.

There's a deep contradiction between the more radical Islam and Italy's values. "The problem is that there is hardly any moderate Islam in Italy. Just the opposite. In Rome they built an enormous mosque. There are a lot of mosques in Italy, and very anti-Western madrasas operate in them. There's polygamy, there's wife-battering - it's very common. There's a father who killed his daughter for 'family honor.' It's logical that Italians would notice and that there would be reactions."

The straight-armed salute

In Nirenstein's books, you don't find the aggressive anti-Muslim sentiment that screams from every page of Fallaci's books. But while she isn't part of the wave of opposition to immigrants and Muslims that is sweeping Italy, she does belong to the new right that scored an impressive election victory this week. It seems that there is no such thing as a right way to be "right" in all of Europe: Berlusconi, the avowed capitalist and most avid pro-American in Europe, on the one hand, the Lega Nord (Northern League) with its wild incitement on the other, and then Fini and his former neo-facist party.

Angela Merkel and Nicolas Sarkozy almost seem like communists in comparison to this bunch. Nirenstein does not "completely" accept this definition. To her, Berlusconi is a centrist who also received votes from the left, because he's "for the downtrodden" and wants to lessen their tax burden. Nirenstein sees herself as "a friend of the Northern League," which just wants to turn Italy into a federal state. She feels this is a legitimate ambition, even if some of the League's pronouncements are "unpleasant".Her closeness to the former neo-fascist party caused Nirenstein some discomfort during the election campaign, particularly after one of Berlusconi's candidates for the Senate, Giuseppe Ciarrapico, proudly announced that he was and remains a fascist.

According to Nirenstein, his candidacy "does not fit" with her candidacy as an avowed anti-fascist, a Jew and the daughter of a partisan, but she remained on the list nevertheless. "There's no such thing as a perfect list," she says. Did you encounter people like Ciarrapico during the election campaign? "At one of the election rallies I attended, in Genoa, someone gave the straight-armed salute. I went to the Allianza Nationale [the new name of the former neo- fascist party] people and asked who it was. I said that I protested, that I was stunned to see such a thing and that I did not want to see it again." But Fini himself used to do the straight-armed salute at rallies in the 1960s, when everyone knew where fascism had led to. "I don't know if Fini did that salute, maybe he did it in his youth.

But I don't know what more he could have done than to kneel at Yad Vashem.

Is he supposed to kill himself?"

He may not have been able to do more.

But how did you, as a Jew, the daughter of a partisan, feel alongside a man who supported fascism as an adult?

"He was a fascist like I was a communist, when I was indifferent to what Pol Pot did, when I admired Che Guevara. I see him as someone who has since developed." Post-election Italy, says Nirenstein, is a better place, a more stable place, a place without a radical left and a radical right. She doesn't know yet what she'll do in the new parliament. Nirenstein would like to deal with foreign affairs, but she knows she'll have to pay a price: For now she'll remain in Rome and bid good-bye to her good friends in Israel. She's not giving up the house in Gilo, though.

It will wait for the return of the parliament member from Rome.

A Response to the Board of Deputies

The Board of Deputies of British Jews - working with the London Jewish Forum and Community Security Trust - has launched a misguided campaign, with the slogan, ³Your Voice or Theirs². Board of Deputies president Henry Grunwald told the Jerusalem Post: ³The higher the turnout across the country, the harder it [will be] for the BNP to succeed.² Every vote for a mainstream political party isŠ a vote against extremism,² Grunwald added.

Is Grunwald right? Should the Jewish community vote as a bloc to deny the BNP representation? Are they a monolithic community or one which contains different opinions within it? Pat Richardson is a councillor and a member of the British National Party (BNP). She told the Guardian recently: ³I¹m in the BNP because no one else speaks out against the Islamification of our country,² Support for Israel

We support the right of Israel to exist and defend itself against the relentless terrorist attacks of Islamic fanatics. This seems to be what led Ruth Smeed, of the Board of Deputies, to tell the press that: ³The BNP website is now one of the most Zionist on the web - it goes further than any of the mainstream parties in its support of Israel.²


Natural allies


The BNP has made its position clear many times. We are not ŒZionists¹, our overall concern is to look after the interests of our own country, and not to bother ourselves with or interfere in the affairs of other nations. But we have repeatedly denounced the neo-Nazi cranks who infest the fringes of British politics, and we reject anti-Semitism as part of a dangerous and outdated cycle of last-century hostility between Jews and Gentiles - a hostility that can only benefit our mutual enemy, Islamic imperialism.

Loyal British Jews are our natural allies in the fight against the Islamic fundamentalists who want to destroy the Western civilisation so many of whose core values we hold in common. That is just one reason why many Jews will be voting for the BNP. Let¹s remember also, however, that this is only one reason. Jews will be voting British National Party for other reasons too: because they are concerned about crime, because they are worried about the economic decline of our country, because they are concerned about the disintegration of community spirit and decent values. In other words for the same reasons as so many other British voters, including many Sikhs and Christian West Indians. As Martin Wingfield commented in our paper Freedom recently:- ³today there are an increasing number of Jews campaigning for the BNP and feeling very comfortable with their political choice.²

When the Chief Rabbi a few years ago wrote a book entitled ³Will Our Grandchildren Be Jewish?² he articulated precisely the same concern that we have for the future of our people in the same overcrowded multi-cult nightmare that threatens traditional Jewish and British identities alike. Just because a Jew wants to preserve and celebrate his ancestral culture and identity doesn¹t make him a Œhater¹ of Gentiles, and nor does our wanting to preserve and celebrate our ancestral culture and identity make us Œhaters¹ of Jews, or any other ethnic group for that matter.


Anyone but the BNP?


Jews are also rejecting the call to vote against the BNP for other reasons. They are being asked to vote for Establishment parties. Few believe they have any solutions. Many know that the tide is slowly turning against them. ²It is important that olim [immigrants to Israel] vote, because any vote is one to keep the BNP out. It doesn¹t matter who you vote for, so long as it isn¹t for the BNP, and that will help keep the BNP out of the London assembly,² said Jenni Woolf, National campaigns fieldworker for the Union of Jewish Students (UJS).

It doesn¹t matter who you vote for? Really? Jews are asked by some of their self-appointed Œleaders¹ to identify themselves with a political class that is increasingly despised and distrusted purely to deny the British National Party - and our growing number of voters - representation. This seems cynical, immoral and unwise to many.


A Jewish Green or Socialist? Bad Luck!


In addition to advocating a pro-Establishment vote the Board of Deputies campaign is bad news for Jewish Greens, Jewish Socialists and Jewish Independents. The campaign is based on boosting voter turnout to lower the percentage the BNP is likely to achieve. Presuming this worked (and we don¹t think it will) it would also have the effect of denying Greens, Socialists and Independents representation. Does anyone really want a London where political diversity is shut out? Would the election of two or three BNP members to the GLA, a Green and a Socialist be such a bad thing? Wouldn¹t a BNP voice act as a check or balance on some of the crazier ideas?


The ŒRed Ken¹ problem


In London there is a particular problem - ŒRed Ken¹. One Jewish BNP supporter puts it like this:-

Q. Who Compared a Jewish journalist to a Nazi guard?

* Portrayed young British Jews as potential soldiers in the Israeli army, thus raising the accusation of ³dual loyalty² (it is well-known that only Israeli citizens can serve in their country¹s army)?

* Edited a newspaper which ran a cartoon showing then-Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin dressed in an SS Uniform and captioned with the words ³The Final Solution² in Nazi-style Gothic script?

* Embraced Sheikh Yusuf al Qaradawi, a leading ideologue of Islamist terror and an avowed anti-Semite?

A. Not the BNP but Ken Livingstone.

Many in the Jewish community are aware that anti-Semitism is widespread on the Labour Œleft¹. Often it is cloaked by a terminology which is anti-American or anti-Zionist but the motive is clear. Why then do the Board of Deputies and CST single out the British National Party for attack on the basis of arguments and positions we left behind in the last century, while saying nothing about the current radical Islamist agenda of ŒRed¹ Ken¹s core Muslim constituency? Are they as out-of-touch with their community and its interests as our own political Œleadership¹?

We wouldn¹t be surprised, which is why we urge all concerned to ignore the self-serving and backward-looking bias of those (neo-Nazi cranks and professional Zionists alike) who would foster suspicions between the British National Party and the grass-roots Jewish community in order to maintain their own power-bases, rather than facing up to the realities of the Era of Global Jihad: We hang together, or we hang separately.

Sir,

I expect this comes too late for this week's edition, but for the sake of the historical record and fairness, I hope you will hold this letter over for next weeks's issue.

In his article ("How the angry eight fought to keep racism out of their paper", 18th April) Howard Hannah says:

"In 1974 a National Front (NF) rally in Red Lion Square, Holborn, resulted in the death of Kevin Gately, a 21 year old anti-fascist student."

The NF rally was held indoors at the Conway Hall. It was an entirely peaceful event. It was preceded by a march from Westminster during which no NF members were arrested or involved in any violent clashes. No NF members were arrested that day.

The riot which transpired in Red Lion Square took place an hour before the start of the NF rally, when supporters of the International Marxist Group (IMG), including Kevin Gately, departed from a route pre-agreed with the police and attacked the police cordon protecting Conway Hall with a view to invading the building and preventing access to it by the NF. No NF members were in the vicinity of the riot.

Don't take my word for any of this. Lord Justice Scarman, noted for his anti-racist views, conducted a public judicial inquiry into the riot. I append relevant passages taken from his report "The Red Lion Square Disorders of 15 June 1974", starting with paragraph 22.

The photo used with Hannah's piece was obviously chosen because it shows a young 'punk' wearing swastika T-shirt. The photo caption reads: "National Front rallies in the mid-1970s invariably spawned violent attacks". That's grotesque and perverse in view of Scarman's findings of fact. Nobody displaying a swastika was ever allowed to participate in any NF activity.

That photograph was not taken of participants at any NF demonstration. Look at the shield shaped badge, bearing a 'Sunwheel' (cross and circle) motif being worn on the upper left-hand side of the 'punk's' leather jacket (below the skull and cross-bones) and at a similar badge at the top of the tie of the conventionally-dressed young man. Both wearing the badge of an organisation called the British Movement (BM).

The BM was proscribed by the NF (at my instigation). Any of its members who tried to infiltrate NF activities were evicted by me or my stewards. The deputy-leader of BM, Ray Hill, turned out to be a paid agent of "anti-fascist" 'Searchlight' magazine. On being exposed as an 'agent provocateur', Hill toured the country earning fees giving lectures at anti-fascist meetings.

Hannah was wrong to state that the "One down, a million to go" remark (made at a street meeting allegedly in reference to the killing of a young Sikh in an alleged but unproven racist attack) was made by "one of the their [i.e. the NF's] leaders, John Kingsley Read".

Read made that remark as leader of the National Party (NP). He was prosecuted for that speech at an Old Bailey trial and was acquitted by the jury and wished "Good luck" by the judge.

None of the leaders of the NF during my time with that party, or subsequently so far as I know, were ever charged, let alone convicted, of encouraging "random, brutal and often fatal attacks on black and Asian people".

Counsel representing the IMG at Lord Scarman's Inquiry was a young left wing barrister called Stephen Sedley. His cross-examination of me degenerated into a shouting match and Scarman had to calm us down. Sedley is now a Lord Justice of Appeal.

About a decade ago he established a precedent upholding free speech in public places. In his judgment he remarked (I paraphrase): "Free speech without the freedom to offend is no free speech at all."

Surely we can all agree with that?

"The Red Lion Square Disorders of 15 June 1974"

22: "....A gap opened up between the rear of those 500 [leading the anti-NF march] and those following the banner of the International Marxist Group. I have no doubt that this gap was deliberately created by the IMG slowing its pace a little. ..... Disregarding the direction taken by the march ahead of them they led a charge round the corner to the left of the police cordon. There thus began ..... 'a deliberate, determined, and sustained attack' on the police cordon. It was unexpected, unprovoked and viciously violent. It was the beginning of the afternoon's violence in the course of which one young man sustained a fatal injury, and an unknown number of demonstrators and 46 policemen were injured. A heavy responsibility rests on those who instigated and led that assault."

36: "The riot was short-lived and order was restored in Red Lion Square within 15 minutes. Nevertheless it was to prove the fiercest fight of the day, and there were many injuries. In all, 31 policemen were injured as a result of blows on the head, body punches, kicks and falls under the pressure of the crowd. A number of demonstrators suffered similar injuries. By far the most serious consequence was the injury from which Kevin Gately so tragically died some hours later.

38: "There is no evidence that he was struck any blow by any policeman ..... Mr Bailey of the IMG clearly recognised the absence of any direct evidence as to the cause of the injury when he made he remarkable declaration that political responsibility for the death lay firstly with the National Front (who were a mile or so away at the time); and secondly with the authorities for allowing the National Front to march -- a declaration which, though it may have some emotive political value, is nonsense, if it be judged against the background of what happened and responsibilities of those who were there and took part in the events.

44: "The National Front had moved off from their assembly point at Tothill Street shortly before 3pm. In numbers they were about 1,000, or perhaps slightly less. .... The march was conducted in silence except for the accompaniment of a bass drum, four side drums and a fife. .... By the standards of political demonstrations the demonstration was regarded by the police as orderly and well-disciplined."

67: "In the course of the Inquiry the police were heavily criticised for their handling of the disorders ..... I propose to state my findings on the criticisms which in my judgment call for consideration and the reasons for each finding.

[.....]

"(b) 'In view of its political character and provocative nature the National Front march should have been prevented by the police, not protected by them'."

69: "....The police are not concerned with the politics of a demonstration: if they were, we should be a police state .... with the exception of some of the counter-demonstrators, nobody was provoked into any breach of the peace. And the 'provocation' to the counter-demonstrators was not anything that they saw the National Front do, but the mere idea that they were marching at all."

70: "It is necessary to understand the true nature of this criticism in order that it may be rejected as a menace to our liberties. It assumes that the police should be directed to prevent a demonstration taking place not because of any threats to public order but because the views being propagated by the demonstration are regarded as odious by others. The police cannot be allowed to do any such thing, unless Parliament expressly requires it to be done. Parliament has not forbidden the streets to the National Front: and, were the police to do so they would be usurping the political function."

40 years ago the NF had suited intelligent business men. They knew what it was to be British, and could quote you chapter and verse this islands history. Great orators and article writers, they were the cream of right wing thinking, and well able to take on any MP in debate. A premier party with a membership that has still been unbeaten by the BNP. Did they ever get news coverage like the above?

Birmingham Has Lost the Fight

The eyes of Europe are on Birmingham as it becomes the continent's first ethnic majority city, Britain's equalities chief has said.

And he described how he thought Birmingham's unique ethnic make-up would eventually be the model for the majority of large cities in Europe.

Mr Phillips, chairman of the Equalities and Human Rights Commission, described the prospect of ethnic minorities becoming the majority of Birmingham's population as "a very very big deal".

He added: "I think it's a very important issue. It's important because in Europe this won't happen in the way it has happened in America, where one lot of people takes over from another.

"There will be a lot of groups of different ethnicities, and that is going to take a new kind of thinking. This is what most European cities in 15 or 20 years' time will look like, and that's why I'm so interested in what's happening in Birmingham."

Derrick Day - real East End nationalist !

In the above pics we can see that Derrick Day, was a friend of my family here in the North West of England. The pic of Derrick speaking was 1978 at a National Front meeting at Hoxton market, East London. Royal Bank of Scotland asks shareholders for £12billion to shore up its finances as 2,300 jobs go in City crunch

Britain's second biggest bank is expected to ask shareholders for billions of extra cash in a bid to repair its balance sheet, it was reported today.
The Royal Bank of Scotland is mulling a rights issue that could raise as much as £12 billion.

This morning the bank's shares and those of their rivals were fluctuating and RBS traded down 0.6 per cent at 364p late this morning, reversing an earlier rise of as much as 4.9 percent and giving it a market value of 36.5 billion pounds.
Experts feared that the embattled banking sector could suffer on the stock market as a result of the speculation.
The bank, which has lost almost half its market value in the past year, has sold assets such as its European consumer-finance unit and a stake in Southern Water Capital Ltd.

RBS is Britain's second biggest bank but needs to repair its balance sheet
The bank's move comes as it was revealed yesterday that up to 2,300 City of London jobs will be axed because of the credit crunch with Citigroup, which has its British headquarters at Canary Wharf, expected to reveal 1,000 redundancies today.
The rumours were given strength this morning when Citigroup, the world's biggest bank, announced first quarter losses of $2.5billion.
The bank has also written off $3billion of bad investments due to the US sub-prime mortgage crisis.
RBS' decision - which could be followed by other major lenders - is needed because the bank has had to writedown the value of its sub-prime debts.

Initially we supported the idea of a new moderator for Stormfront UK. The 'old mods' were seen to be too pro-Nick Griffin. So Stormfront 'wheeled in' a new moderator, Number 5 .

Number 5 on the face of it, didn't really like Nick Griffin and his policy changes, and has stated so on many an internet forum.

PTD/Nick Griffin and his tory type supporters were seemingly given the 'rounds of the kitchen' on Stormfront UK (SFUK) for their destroying tactics.

All was well for a couple of weeks.

Number 5 e-mailed me to try to calm the SFUK forum down.

A peace was tried to be brokered by No. 5 between JIB and Yorkshire Loyalist/Dave Howard.

Howard refused !

The SFUK forum is descending into chaos and especially it's standards are falling rapidly.

The tiny Griffin 'gang of two', who were named the CUNT's by Griffin himself, and who hounded Jonathan Bowden out of the BNP by obscene posts and messages, have now been given 'free rein' on SFUK.

This same couple of thugs Shove the Dove/Tommy Williams and Yorkshire loyalist /Howard (the aptly named Cunts), have now moved from the obscene and disgusting VNN forum where they are Rolf of Harris (Williams) and Truth at last (Howard), and where they truly belonged, but have now set up their campaign of filth and lies against anyone that Nick Griffin sees as an enemy onto SFUK.

The current moderator Number 5 seems unable or unwilling to control these freaks/thugs and he is well aware of them.

The past moderators might have been pro-Griffin, but they would not have allowed the absolute disgusting personal attacks that are occuring now on SFUK.

I myself have received numerous threats from the Cunts + Pete Sid Williamson, of which I have reported to the Police. Hence I am 'a grass' to use their criminal parlance, because that is all they are , criminals !

Nationalism is about politics, it is about decency, and it is about honour.

Bardot on trial for allegedly inciting anti-Muslim hatred

PARIS - Brigitte Bardot is back on trial in France, facing charges of fanning discrimination and racial hatred against Muslims.

In a Paris court hearing Tuesday, prosecutors said they are seeking a two-month suspended prison sentence and a $23,900 fine against the former screen siren and animal rights campaigner.

Bardot, 73, was not present for the hearing. A verdict is expected June 3.
A leading French anti-racism group known as MRAP filed suit last year over a letter that Bardot sent to then-Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy, and which was published in her foundation's quarterly journal.
In the letter to Sarkozy, now the president, Bardot accused France's Muslim population of destroying France, and complained about the Muslim feast of Eid al-Adha.
French anti-racism laws prevent inciting hatred and discrimination on racial or religious or racial grounds. Bardot has been convicted four times for inciting racial hatred.

Manchester Civil Justice Court is certainly an impressive building, the mixture of steel and glass many stories high; it made an imposing backdrop to the legal horn-locking between Griffin's legal men and our defence.

In the court room sat the full complement of all those involved in this case, but due to the scale of the room with its high ceiling it still looked almost empty.

I and my five co-defendants and our council sat on the right with Griffin, Simon Darby and their legal representatives on the left. What proved most interesting was the behaviour that Griffin displayed as if part of an act to try and prove to us upstart 'malcontents' that he is still in control. Each time the court came to session, Griffin and Darby strolled in five minutes late as if to make some sort of grandiose entrance, but it was clearly contrived.

I can't imagine that the judge, who was certainly not a man to suffer fools, would have seen this is in a good light at all. This type of performance typifies a person that is entirely uncomfortable and anxious as to the unfolding and utterly avoidable situation that he alone has brought down upon our British National Party.

It is also interesting that at the very end of the court day which was long, wearing and intense, in which the day's results clearly unsettled and damaged Griffin and Co.; Griffin announced loudly, so that we could all hear "Well, we got what we wanted!" when it was however, abundantly clear that he had not.

Once again this indicates to us all as to just how far into his own little world of denial he has actually descended. By making loud crass comments openly he was trying to prove to the court of just how wonderful and intact the 'emperors [chairman's] new clothes' still are. This was however of course, utterly transparent to all of us.Unwavering self-belief, arrogance and sheer disregard to the point of ruination has been seen throughout history and resulted in unbelievable destruction.

One notable political figure stands out amongst a great many. It almost makes one shudder to imagine what our Party could have become under such leadership had it not remained so tiny in its present state. We only need to look at Mugabe to see the reality of such tyrannical figures in modern politics.

Such a nightmare would be no alternative to the Lib-Lab-Con regime we currently find ourselves suffering under and undoubtedly prove to be the greatest insult to those that have sacrificed so much for the promise of a morally wholesome nationalist government, freedom of speech and expression and future for our children.

Hired muscle
It is also interesting that Griffin's usual personal security was not present in court, but instead a large man I have not seen before or recognise remained glued to his side throughout the day's proceedings. Is this because the very fabric, loyalty and honour that once ran deep within the Security Department, that Griffin has destroyed completely, can no longer be trusted by him for his own personal security and protection?

Needing to hire muscle for a day in court while dragging the Party membership and finances through the mire, again serves as an indicator as to his true paranoid state of mind.

It is my opinion, that as well as trying to crystallise his fantasy that he can walk on water and should be revered as a nationalist demigod by us lesser mortals that actually have to work for a living, that it is retribution he now seeks.

Vengeance
Griffin wants revenge on those that have dared to stand up to him and his corruption that is costing the Party so dearly. The climate for nationalism in the UK has never been so positive and so full of potential. Griffin has taken us as far as he can; he is limited and constrained by his self-obsession with his power and rule.

This can clearly been seen if we look at the fact that as a Party we simply have not made anywhere near the breakthroughs that a great many of us expected we would make over the last three years. Griffin has blamed a plethora of enemies for his failures, Gerry Gable/Searchlight, the Labour Party, the UAF, the BBC, secret media moles in the Party and even imaginary 'state-plants!'

As I have written in the past, megalomaniacs are often not programmed to be able to comprehend reality when that truth conflicts with their inner need to satisfy their delusions. That truth is simply that he himself in the disastrous man-management decisions for the Party that he alone has made, and the characters that he has placed into positions around himself have left the Party with a collection of incompetent, corrupt and morally questionable people in positions of authority under him and answerable only to him. They all of course have other similarities.

They have either displayed sufficient sycophantic characteristics and are no future threat to him in any way, or are in desperate need of a job and a home but no other organisation in its right mind would take them on, but still could be useful to him in some way.

Having such a cabal of jesters in tow has not, and will not create a political opposition cabinet capable of becoming a truly viable alternative to the established government; regardless of how much spin and manipulation the Party web-site and publications can churn out each month.

Regardless of the enemies that operate against nationalism within the UK, real or imaginary, the damage that Griffin's egotism and greed have done could not have been made greater by any of them.

Some people are of the belief that this is why he walked away from Leeds Crown Court twice, and why he has not been arrested for instigating the robbery and illegal bugging of a serving borough councillor. We must ask ourselves this.

Is the promise of a stagnating nationalist party so bereft of potential due to his corrupt leadership, inviting to the powers that be, to turn a blind eye to the illegal activists of its leader?

Is a popularist pressure valve so needed now that Griffinism could serve the establishment with the vote-vent it is now so in need of; especially when the UKIP single use weapon has now dried up?

These questions fall outside of the sphere of this report, so I'll leave that to the reader to draw their own conclusions and ponder their own theories; but certainly the final outcome of these legal proceedings will be of great interest to many of us.

Griffin's European gravy express - next stop Brussels
Another theory that many people have commented on and I myself support, is the belief that Griffin has now got his eye on a nice little position in Europe on the gravy-train for five years before an early retirement and a second home in the sun somewhere.

Why else has he, without the vote, support or consent of the members, activists and supporters of the North-West Region, parachuted himself in as the number one candidate?

Based upon the regional performance of our candidates in past elections, it should come as no surprise to find out that the North-West Region is one of the best if not the best chance we will have in getting a representative voted into Europe and unlocking the huge benefits and funding that come with it. I expect that closer to the time of the elections Griffin will present to the Party in our publications, a few hand selected members that will be so 'honoured' to have the wonderful Party chairman himself as their candidate.

Another indicator that this is his scheme, is the question that how could he possibly hope to lead a political party in the UK whilst running around in Europe?

I believe that if he were to be voted in, he would quickly resign the chairmanship due to his 'European commitments' because he would no longer need it as it would have already served its purpose for him.

What with this and his other little nest-eggs, it would afford him a very comfortable standard of living that would have the added bonus for him of having his ego massaged and manipulated by the media as the only BNP voice in Europe from which he could ultimately hold the Party to ransom for ever more.

Full trial in the civil courts?
It is looking quite likely that us six defendants, at Griffin's insistence, will be facing a full trial in the civil courts. It could last several days and will undoubtedly cost a vast sum of money. Griffin is prepared to continue dragging the Party through this ugly and unnecessary action that could well ultimately deal the Party coffers a massive blow as well as the irreparable political damage that could follow in its wake.

Griffin is gambling with other people's hard earned and donated Party funds which is despicable within itself.

The situation becomes even darker when we consider that those he is trying to sue include two young families, one of which has a baby and the other expecting very soon. His intention is to financially destroy us completely and leave us with huge bills that we could not possibly pay. He is suing us as straw-men, but as he has proven in the past, he is a coward and lacks the courage to take on those with the fanatical clout, for example The Guardian newspaper and the BBC, to be able to beat him back, even when it would seem as though the Party should easily win.

Griffin knows only two well that the six of us that are all proven loyal nationalists that have worked ceaselessly for the benefit of the Party for many years. In Griffin's illegal and unconstitutional sacking of Sadie, Steve, Nicola and Kenny, he has deprived them of their meagre wage that had largely helped to keep heads above water during their professional full-time work for the Party.

Griffin's warning to you all!
It is his intention to bully us into a position where we are unable to cover the growing costs of our defence solicitors that must be paid in advance regardless to the final outcome, leaving us at the mercy of his legal hatchet-men intent in finishing us off for good.

He also has designs in this course of action serving as an example to all Party members of what he will do to anyone in the future that ever dares to question his authoritarianism. It was clear by the shallow smirk on Griffin's face as he glanced at us at the end of the court day, that this is what he seeks to have in store for us.

However, we are continuing to receive support from a large number of Party supporters and activists that are still working within the Party itself, but have firmly rejected Griffin's rhetoric and Stasi style politicking. They, just like those he is persecuting in court, are now waiting for their opportunity to vote out his corruption and incompetence and replace it with a leadership sound of mind and judgement able to take our vehicle forward once again in a Party were the joys of freedom can be once again be at the forefront of our constitution and design.

That voice is the Voice of Change and this time it will not be silenced and we will not shy away from this fight until Griffin and his corrupt cult of yes-men are removed from our Party for good.

Halifax increases mortgage rates for second time in two weeks

Domino effect: Halifax's move is likely to heighten fears among other mortgage lenders.

Halifax, Britain's biggest mortgage lender, will hit homeowners with its second increase in mortgage rates in less than a fortnight.

The two increases will add more than £1,000 a year onto a typical £158,100 loan, piling the pressure onto cash-strapped homeowners.

From today, some of the lender's most popular deals, such as two-year fixed rate and tracker deals, will jump by a staggering 0.5 percentage points.

The timing of the announcement is ironic, coming the day after the Prime Minister met banking chiefs to urge them to pass the Bank of England's rate cut last week onto homeowners.

It also comes just a few days after Halifax, which controls 20 per cent of Britain's mortgage market, raised its rates last Monday.

Suicide bomb backer leads group trying to win Muslim votes for Ken Livingstone


An advocate of suicide bombing is among leaders of a group trying to mobilise Muslim voters to back Ken Livingstone, the Standard reveals today.

For the past year, the group has been working on a strategy to win an estimated 200,000 Muslim votes in an effort to re-elect the Mayor.

Muslims 4 Ken moves into overdrive this week after months of lobbying for Mr Livingstone among Muslim community leaders, in mosques and among political organisations.

The Islamic alliance backing the Mayor is based in east London and has already drawn on wide support from the area's Bangladeshi community. Muslims 4 Ken grew from Mr Livingstone's links with activists and his generous sponsorship of Muslim causes. Mr Altikriti was instrumental in the Mayor's patronage of Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the Islamic cleric who was welcomed by Mr Livingstone to City Hall. The Mayor's critics believe his praise of Mr al-Qaradawi was part of a cynical plan to exploit the Muslim vote. Mr al-Qaradawi is banned from Britain over fears his presence may not be conducive to "security and peace".

The last two weeks of the election campaign will see a sustained attack on Mr Johnson based on claims that he is anti-Islam. Volunteers have been supplied with quotes from his journalism over the past 15 years in which he appears to be critical of Islam.

The quotes are deluging internet forums and form part of messages posted in texts and emails sent to exhort Muslims to vote for Mr Livingstone.

Shoot to Kill, South African Minister Tells Police

Police figures show nearly 20,000 people are murdered a year, sparking public anger at the inability of authorities to ensure safety.

South African police must shoot to kill and ignore regulations in the battle against one of the worst rates of violent crime in the world, a government minister said.
"You must kill the bastards (criminals) if they threaten you or the community. You must not worry about the regulations," said Deputy Safety and Security Minister Susan Shabangu.
"I want no warning shots, you have one shot and it must be a kill shot," she told police officers, according to the Star newspaper on Thursday.
South Africa suffers some of the highest levels of violent crime in the world, with murders, hijackings and rape an everyday occurrence.

Shabangu told an anti-crime meeting in the capital Pretoria: "I want to assure the police station commissioners and policemen and women from these areas that they have permission to kill these criminals," she said.

The township I grew up in was not exactly a lawless jungle, but criminals were feared and, in some instances, held in high esteem for a number of reasons. Because policemen were seen as agents of an illegitimate government, anyone who challenged them and succeeded was put on a pedestal of heroism — a warped sense of heroism, of course, but heroism nevertheless.
Many big-time criminals, wily as they were, tended to act as Robin Hoods of sorts, using their ill- gotten money to do some good in the community: buying soccer kits for local kids, putting some destitute kids through school .

This was seen as their contribution to the community, but if you look at it with hindsight you can see that they were buying members of the community into keeping silent whenever the law came looking for the criminals. (So, that's where Griffin got the idea from)

Many members of the community, in their justification of their complicity with the criminals, said that at least the criminals were stealing from “them” — meaning whites — and not “us”.
Which was a bullshit argument because many of these thugs, before they graduated to big crime — hitting banks and other white-owned businesses — served their apprenticeship on our streets, robbing our parents and killing with impunity, knowing that the veil of silence that had been imposed upon the community would protect them from the law.

London National Front activists have put out 30,000 'Enough Is Enough' London leaflets in just three weeks, and are on target to make their presence well known in the constituencies they are contesting.

This has led to many enquiries with people filling in the questionnaire on the reverse of the leaflet.

Fighting the Cultural War in America

I am thankful to hear a man with such high esteem say essentially the same things for which I have been reviled by the liberal media. His words should be reproduced and put into the hands of every American. — David Duke

Actor Charlton Heston, born October 4, 1924, was one of some performing artists who received the Kennedy Center honors on December 6, 1997.

Mr. Heston remained in Washington D.C. and addressed the 20th Anniversary of the Free Congress Foundation and the 4th Birthday of the NET TV network. The following are excerpts from his Insightful remarks. Mr. Heston and Mrs. Heston celebrated 50 years of marriage in 1994.

"A cultural war is raging across our land-storming our values, assaulting our freedoms, killing our self-confidence in who we are and what we believe. (Mr. Heston then asked those present who owned a gun to raise their hand.)
I wonder how many of you own guns but chose not to raise your hand? How many of you considered revealing your conviction about a constitutional right, but then though better of it?

If so, you are a victim of the culture war being waged against traditional American freedom of beliefs and ideas. You have been assaulted and robbed of the courage of your convictions. Your pride in who you are and what you believe in has been ridiculed, ransacked, and plundered! It may be a war without a bullet or bloodshed, but with just as much liberty lost:

You and your country are less free!

Because you choose to own guns- affirmed by no less than the Bill of Rights- you embrace a view at odds with the cultural war lords. If that is the outcome of cultural war, and you are the victims, I can only ask the obvious question. What will become of the right itself? Or other rights not deemed acceptable by the thought police? What other truth in your heart will you disavow with your hand?

Rank-and-file Americans wake up every morning, increasingly bewildered and confused at why their views make them lesser citizens. The message gets through; Heaven help the God fearing, law-abiding, Caucasian, middle- class Protestant-or even worse, evangelical Christian, Midwestern or Southern- or even worse, rural, apparently straight-or even worse, admitted heterosexuals, gun-owing-or even worse, NRA-card-carrying, average working stiff-or even worse, male working stiff-because, not only don’t you count, you are a down-right obstacle to social progress. Your voice deserves a lower decibel level, your opinion is less enlightened, your media access is insignificant, and frankly, mister, you need to wake up, wise up, and learn a little something from your new-America and until you do, would you mind shutting up?

That is why you didn’t raise your hand. That’s how cultural war works. That’s what happens when a generation of media, educators, entertainers, and politicians-led by a willing President-decide the America they were born into isn’t good enough anymore. So, they contrive to change it through cultural warfare of class distinction! Ask the Romans if powerful nations have ever fallen as a result of cultural division. There are ruins around the world that were once the smug centers of small-minded, arrogant elitism. It appears that, rather than evaporate in the flash of a split atom, we may succumb to a divided culture!

The Constitution was handed down to guide us by a bunch of wise old dead white guys who invented our country! Now some flinch when I say that.

Why?

Its true-they were white guys!

So were most of the guys that died in Lincoln’s name opposing slavery in the 1860’s. So why should I be ashamed of white guys?

Why is “Hispanic Pride” or “Black Pride” a good thing, while “White Pride” conjures shaven heads and white hoods? Why was the Million Man March on Washington celebrated by many as progress, while the Promise Keepers March on Washington was greeted with suspicion and ridicule? I’ll tell you why, Cultural warfare!

You don’t see other Hollywood luminaries speaking out on this do you? Its not because there aren’t any. Its because they can’t afford the heat! They dare not speak for fear of CNN or the IRS or the SAG or NBC! It saps the strength of our country when the personal price is simply too high to stand for what you believe in. Today, speaking with the courage of your convictions can be costly, the price of principal can be so high that legislators won’t lead and citizens can’t follow, and so there is no arm to fight back. That’s cultural warfare!

Mainstream America is counting on you to “draw your sword” and fight for them. These people have precious little time and resources to battle misguided Cinderella attitudes, the fringe propaganda of the homosexual coalition, the feminists who preach that it is a divine duty for woman to hate men, blacks who raise a militant fist with one hand while they seek preference with the other, New Age apologists for juvenile crime who see roving gangs as a means to only the merchandising violence as a form of entertainment for impressionable minds, and gun bans as a means to only the Lord-knows-what.

We have reached that point in time when our social policy originates on Oprah.

Its time to pull the plug!

Was World War II 'The Good War'?

'Yes, it was a good war,' writes Richard Cohen in his column challenging the thesis of pacifist Nicholson Baker in his new book, Human Smoke, that World War II produced more evil than good.

Baker's compelling work, which uses press clips and quotes of Axis and Allied leaders as they plunged into the great cataclysm, is a virtual diary of the days leading up to World War II. Riveting to this writer was that Baker uses some of the same episodes, sources and quotes as this author in my own book out in May, Churchill, Hitler and 'The Unnecessary War. On some points, Cohen is on sold ground.

There are things worth fighting for: God and country, family and freedom. Martyrs have ever inspired men. And to some evils pacifism is no answer.

Resistance, even unto death, may be required of a man. But when one declares a war that produced Hiroshima and the Holocaust a 'Good War,' it raises a question: good for whom?

Britain declared war on Sept. 3, 1939, to preserve Poland. For six years, Poland was occupied by Nazi and Soviet armies and SS and NKVD killers.

At war's end, the Polish dead were estimated at 6 million. A third of Poland had been torn away by Stalin, and Nazis had used the country for the infamous camps of Treblinka and Auschwitz. Fifteen thousand Polish officers had been massacred at places like Katyn. The Home Army that rose in Warsaw at the urging of the Red Army in 1944 had been annihilated, as the Red Army watched from the other side of the Vistula.

When the British celebrated V-E day in May 1945, Poland began 44 years of tyranny under the satraps of Stalin, Khrushchev and Brezhnev.

Was World War II 'a good war' for the Poles?

Was it a good war for Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, overrun by Stalin's army in June 1940, whose people saw their leaders murdered or deported to the Gulag never to return?

Was it a good war for the Finns who lost Karelia and thousands of brave men dead in the Winter War?

Was it a good war for Hungarians, Czechs, Yugoslavs, Rumanians and Albanians who ended up behind the Iron Curtain?

In Hungary, it was hard to find a women or girl over 10 who had not been raped by the 'liberators' of the Red Army. Was it a good war for the 13 million German civilians ethnically cleansed from Central Europe and the 2 million who died in the exodus?

Was it a good war for the French, who surrendered after six weeks of fighting in 1940 and had to be liberated by the Americans and British after four years of Vichy collaboration?

And how good a war was it for the British?

They went to war for Poland, but Winston Churchill abandoned Poland to Stalin. Defeated in Norway, France, Greece, Crete and the western desert, they endured until America came in and joined in the liberation of Western Europe. Yet, at war's end in 1945, Britain was bled and bankrupt, and the great cause of Churchill's life, preserving his beloved empire, was lost.

Because of the 'Good War' Britain would never be great again.

And were the means used by the Allies, the terror bombing of Japanese and German cities, killing hundreds of thousands of women and children, perhaps millions, the marks of a 'good war'?

Cohen contends that the evil of the Holocaust makes it a 'good war.' But the destruction of the Jews of Europe was a consequence of this war, not a cause.

As for the Japanese atrocities like the Rape of Nanking, they were indeed horrific.

But America's smashing of Japan led not to freedom for China, but four years of civil war followed by 30 years of Maoist madness in which 30 million Chinese perished.

For America, the war was Pearl Harbor and Midway, Anzio and Iwo Jima, Normandy and Bastogne, days of glory leading to triumph and the American Century.

But for Joseph Stalin, it was also a good war.

From his pact with Adolf Hitler he annexed parts of Finland and Rumania, and three Baltic republics. His armies stood in Berlin, Prague and Vienna; his agents were vying for power in Rome and Paris; his ally was installed in North Korea; his protégé, Mao, was about to bring China into his empire.

But it was not so good a war for the inmates of Kolyma or the Russian POWs returned to Stalin in Truman's Operation Keelhaul.

Is a war that replaces Hitler's domination of Europe with Stalin's and Japan's rule in China with Mao's a 'good war'?

We had to stop the killers, says Cohen.

But who were the greater killers: Hitler or Stalin, Tojo or Mao Zedong?

Can a war in which 50 million perished and the Christian continent was destroyed, half of it enslaved, a war that has advanced the death of Western civilization, be truly celebrated as a 'good war'?

Boy hurt in race attack - Rochdale

RACIST thugs beat an Asian schoolboy unconscious, leaving him with a broken arm.

Two white youths repeatedly punched and kicked the 15-year-old as he was walking home from school through Falinge Park in Rochdale.They chased their victim but he stumbled and they attacked at 4pm on Tuesday.

The boy was taken to Rochdale Infirmary and is now thought to be making a good recovery.

Detectives, who believe the incident was racially motivated, have appealed to the public for information about the incident and say victim could have suffered "serious damage" in the attack.

Extra police patrols are being mounted in Falinge Park to re-assure residents.

McCain forms team to advise him on Foreign policy

Foreign Policy: 2 Camps Seek McCain’s Ear

WASHINGTON — Senator John McCain has long made his decades of experience in foreign policy and national security the centerpiece of his political identity, and suggests he would bring to the White House a fully formed view of the world.

But now one component of the fractious Republican Party foreign policy establishment — the so-called pragmatists, some of whom have come to view the Iraq war or its execution as a mistake — is expressing concern that Mr. McCain might be coming under increased influence from a competing camp, the neoconservatives, whose thinking dominated President Bush’s first term and played a pivotal role in building the case for war.

The concerns have emerged in the weeks since Mr. McCain became his party’s presumptive nominee and began more formally assembling a list of foreign policy advisers. Among those on the list are several prominent neoconservatives, including Robert Kagan, an author who helped write much of the foreign policy speech that Mr. McCain delivered in Los Angeles on March 26, in which he described himself as “a realistic idealist.” Others include the security analyst Max Boot and a former United Nations ambassador, John R. Bolton.

Prominent members of the pragmatist group, often called realists, say they are also wary of the McCain campaign’s chief foreign policy aide, Randy Scheunemann, who was a foreign policy adviser to former Senators Trent Lott and Bob Dole and who has longtime ties to neoconservatives. In 2002, Mr. Scheunemann was a founder of the hawkish Committee for the Liberation of Iraq and was an enthusiastic supporter of the Iraqi exile and Pentagon favorite, Ahmad Chalabi.

“It maybe too strong a term to say a fight is going on over John McCain’s soul,” said Lawrence Eagleburger, a secretary of state under the first President George Bush, who is a member of the pragmatist camp. “But if it’s not a fight, I am convinced there is at least going to be an attempt. I can’t prove it, but I’m worried that it’s taking place.”

In addition, Mr. Eagleburger said, “there is no question that a lot of my far right friends have now decided that since you can’t beat him, let’s persuade him to slide over as best we can on these critical issues.”

BNP seeks to bury antisemitism and gain Jewish votes in Islamophobic campaign

The far right British National party is trying to shed its antisemitic past as part of a drive to pick up votes among London's Jewish community.

The party, which could get its first seat on the London assembly if voter turnout is low next month, is campaigning in Jewish areas across the capital and attempting to play on what it sees as historical enmity between the Jewish and Muslim communities.

In one leaflet, handed out in north London last weekend, the party's only Jewish councillor, Pat Richardson, is quoted along with a picture of young Muslims holding a placard reading: "Butcher those who mock Islam."

"I'm in the BNP because no one else speaks out against the Islamification of our country," said Richardson. "Being Jewish only adds to my concern about this aggressive creed that also threatens our secular values and Christian tradition."

The move has sparked a furious reaction among Jewish organisations who say the BNP is still antisemitic and racist.

The Board of Deputies, the London Jewish Forum and the Community Security Trust have launched a campaign with other ethnic minority and cultural groups and the Hope Not Hate campaign to combat the BNP threat.

Ruth Smeeth, of the Community Security Trust, said: "The BNP website is now one of the most Zionist on the web - it goes further than any of the mainstream parties in its support of Israel and at the same time demonises Islam and the Muslim world. They are actively campaigning in Jewish communities, particularly in London, making a lot of their one Jewish councillor, their support of Israel and attacking Muslims. It is a poisonous campaign but it shows a growing electoral sophistication."

The editor of BNP newspaper Freedom, Martin Wingfield, wrote on his blog recently: "There has been a growing dialogue between senior members of the Jewish community and the BNP and today there are an increasing number of Jews campaigning for the BNP and feeling very comfortable with their political choice." Henry Grunwald, president of the Board of Deputies, said the anti-BNP campaign which is being run in conjunction with Operation Black Vote and Sikh and Hindu organisations aimed to underline the antisemitic nature of the BNP and ensure that all voters turned out on May 1 to see off the threat posed by the far right.
"Whatever other sources of anti-semitism there are, we are still very concerned by the threat that comes from the far right," said Grunwald. "Despite all its attempts to portray itself differently we know it is still the same antisemitic, racist party it always was." He added: "We, in the Jewish community, will not tolerate any form of racism or prejudice ... I would be thoroughly ashamed if any member of the Jewish community voted for them."

The BNP's drive to abandon its anti-semitism and cash in on what it perceives to be the growth in Islamophobia ( NWN: Cash in ? )was outlined in an essay by party leader Nick Griffin, who once said of the Holocaust: "I have reached the conclusion that the 'extermination' tale is a mixture of Allied wartime propaganda, extremely profitable lie, and latter-day witch-hysteria." In his essay last year he wrote: "It stands to reason that adopting an 'Islamophobic' position that appeals to large numbers of ordinary people - including un-nudged journalists - is going to produce on average much better media coverage than siding with Iran and banging on about 'Jewish power', which is guaranteed to raise hackles of virtually every single journalist in the western world."
Nick Lowles, from the anti-fascist organisation Searchlight, which is mobilising voters across the country through its Hope Not Hate campaign, said the tactic of appealing to different ethnic and cultural groups ticked several boxes for the BNP. "It allows them to portray themselves as being non-racist at the same time as legitimising their vicious and sustained attacks on the UK's Muslim communities."

Today, all four major candidates in London's mayoral election join religious and business leaders in proposing a radical solution for illegal immigrants .

A formidable coalition of businessmen, politicians, religious leaders and community workers will pledge their support tonight for an amnesty for illegal immigrants who have been resident in the UK for several years and can pass strict tests to prove their contribution to British society.

All four of London's main mayoral candidates – including, against the official policy of his party, the Tory candidate Boris Johnson – will back the campaign to offer undocumented workers the chance to be integrated into mainstream society and obtain papers allowing them to work and pay taxes legally.

We are hearing news from all parts but not one source has all the news on this.

Which tells us how fragmented the North West has now become due to Nick Griffins medalling in the Region. Nick is the Regional Organiser don'tcha know ?

(There was a BNP meeting in Oldham recently where the meeting was chaired by a guy from Blackpool and the Regional Organiser /Party leader was from Welshpool !)

Just a few years ago, the BNP was making World headlines, and the North West was the 'top of the tree'.

Now the region is moribund and deflated.

Is Yorkshire affected the same, due to the marvellous leadership qualities of Mr.Gri££in ?

We are hearing though, that a few heroes are standing in the local elections and not just for the BNP (though there are pitifully few of those).

We hear that Wigan BNP is standing 7 candidates.

Rochdale is fighting just the one seat.

Oldham is only standing 2 candidates.

American Orthodox Rabbi Marc Shneier on Friday spoke at a ceremony marking 40 years since the assassination of U.S. Civil Rights leader Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr., and championed American Jews' support of African Americans during the Civil Rights struggle, saying no community in the United States did more to support Dr. King and the struggle for equality for African Americans. Rabbi Shneier, an Orthodox Rabbi at two New York synagogues, was the only Jewish leader who took part in the ceremony in Memphis, held a short distance from the Memphis motel where King was mortally wounded by a sniper's bullet while standing on a balcony.

Shneier said the event was an opportunity to commemorate the "famous historical alliance between African Americans and Jews in the United States." Shneier has long championed greater ties between the communities, and wrote the book "Shared Dreams" together with Dr. King's son Martin Luther King III on the subject of the Jewish-Black alliance in the United States.

Last August, Schneier made news when he joined with hip-hop impresario Russell Simmons to produce a short film to combat negative stereotypes of Muslims. Several months earlier, Schneier and Simmons, the founder of Def Jam records, produced a short film on anti-Semitism which was shown in schools across the United States. The film featured appearances by rap stars such as Jay-Z, and was widely considered a success. Schneier and Simmons are co-presidents of the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding, which works to improve relations between Jews and other minorities in the United States.

Since its founding in 1989, the foundation has been particularly successful in improving relations between American Jewish and black communities. According to Schneier, the fund has since turned its focus to improving relations between American Jews and Hispanics.

This seems very strange, which advertising company would ever have given JT permission to promote the BNP in the run up to an election?

He also told everybody that the BBC had telephoned the London BNP press spokesman and told him that we would be entitled to a party political broadcast in London even though we didn't fit the criteria (a party needs to contest all 14 GLA constituencies,) but because of the popular support we have in the opinion polls and among the public they have changed their minds.

Again this seem very strange. Apparently our London party political broadcast will be aired at 6.50pm on Monday 21st April (peak viewing time!)

Clintons Earned $109 Million in 8 Years

Senator Releases Tax Returns as Part of Presidential Battle

In the past eight years, Bill and Hillary Clinton earned a combined $109 million, with the former president collecting nearly half of that money as a speaker hired at times by companies that have been among his wife's most generous political supporters.

After leaving the White House, the Clintons earned $30 million from their best-selling books and brought in as much as $15 million more through an investment partnership with one of her top presidential campaign fundraisers, California billionaire Ronald Burkle. The disclosures came with yesterday's long-awaited release of the Clintons' joint tax returns, a move made in the thick of Sen. Clinton's fight with Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) for the Democratic nomination.

Sen. Clinton (N.Y.) initially resisted making her family's finances public, but pressure on her to match Obama's disclosure grew in February when she disclosed that she had dipped into her personal account to lend her campaign $5 million.
The tax returns illustrate the rags-to-riches story of a couple who came to the White House from Arkansas with modest means and left facing an estimated $12 million in legal debts rung up during investigations of the Whitewater land deal, campaign fundraising and the Monica S. Lewinsky scandal. As she entered the Senate and he left the political spotlight, the Clintons transformed themselves into a successful global brand.

"We've come a long way from Harry Truman," said Leon E. Panetta, a Clinton administration official who now directs the Panetta Institute for Public Policy, referring to the "man from Missouri" who left the presidency to live a modest lifestyle in his home state. "In many ways, it is becoming the American story. A lot of people who have devoted their lives to public service, who lived hand-to-mouth during months of public service, are suddenly able, after public life, to find some rewards."

The Clintons paid $33 million in federal taxes during the eight-year period and donated $10 million to charity, said Jay Carson, a Clinton campaign spokesman. "The Clintons have now made public 30 years of tax returns, a record matched by few people in public service," he said.

A common thread running through the couple's personal finances is the presence of many of the same figures who helped bankroll the presidential campaigns of Bill Clinton, and now that of his wife.

Major donors to both Clintons' White House bids hired the former president as a consultant, joined him in lucrative investment ventures and paid him six-figure sums to speak at corporate gatherings.

The considerable crossover between the couple's decades of political fundraising and their personal profit also extended at times to the former president's charity work and his presidential library, though many records related to those remain secret. What is clear is that numerous financial patrons -- individuals as well as large corporations -- repeatedly emerge in the Clintons' circle.

Chief among them is Burkle, the founder of the Yucaipa investment firm, who not only has provided Bill Clinton with a hefty source of income during his post-presidency but also ranks as one of Sen. Clinton's "Hillraisers," a title given to those who raise more than $100,000 for her presidential bid. Burkle has held fundraisers for her at his Beverly Hills estate, and also made six-figure donations to independent political groups, such as Emily's List, that are supporting her.

The tax returns show Bill Clinton's partnership with Burkle, at various arms of his Yucaipa firm, yielding in excess of $1 million a year, starting in 2003. In 2005, Clinton collected $5 million from those investments, and more than $2.5 million in each of the past two years. The former president served as a senior adviser to the private firm, helping Burkle land investors and identify business opportunities. The Wall Street Journal reported that Clinton started to unwind the relationship earlier this year and could ultimately receive a payout worth about $20 million.

Another recurring character is InfoUSA founder Vinod Gupta, who has contributed to the Clinton library, donated money to Sen. Clinton's White House bid and hired the former president as a consultant. Last year, InfoUSA paid Bill Clinton $400,000. Legal papers that surfaced last year showed that he earned more than $3 million from the firm, which sells consumer data to telemarketers and other businesses.

The former president's speaking career also gave supporters opportunities to boost the couple's bottom line. Even as Sen. Clinton campaigned for office, her husband earned more than $10 million for his speeches. But the tax returns do not reveal who hired him to speak.

Sen. Clinton's financial disclosure forms have offered a glimpse into her husband's speaking career and the nexus between his clients and her campaign donors. The New York investment giant Goldman Sachs paid him $650,000 for four speeches in recent years. (NWN: For services rendered !)

Its employees and its political action committee have donated more than $440,000 to the senator's presidential campaign, putting the firm second on the list of her most generous political patrons, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.
In 2005, Bill Clinton averaged almost a speech a day -- 352 for the year -- though only about 20 percent were for personal income. On one day in Canada, he made $475,000 for two speeches, more than double his annual salary as president.

The banking firm Citigroup, whose employees and PAC rank third among Hillary Clinton's campaign donors, with more than $388,000, paid her husband $250,000 for a speech in France in 2004. In 2006, the firm committed $5.5 million to the Clinton Global Initiative, which encourages entrepreneurship and financial education among the poor.

While the tax returns offer the most illuminating look to date at the Clintons' finances, the picture is incomplete. They sought an extension for their 2007 return and disclosed a breakdown compiled by their tax attorney.

Very rarely a day goes by without hearing stories of an expulsion, suspension or a disciplinary hearing of some unfortunate BNP member.

I would concede that the BNP, like any other organization, has to defend itself from attack from without, or from disruption within, its confines. There does, however, appear to be an inordinate wave of unrest among the more experienced nationalists in the party. People I have known for years are coming to me with stories of suppression and threats. Many of them are afraid to say or do anything in case they offend some minor lackey with the result of their being disciplined or worse.

The BNP is a voluntary organization and as such, is dependent on its success by attracting more and more members to swell the ranks. Indeed, increased membership is more important than a full coffer it is the life-blood of the party.

Members generate funds and all the money in the world wouldn’t do a blind bit of good if there were no dedicated members to use that money wisely and to the best effect.

I remember the early days of the BNP when there were only two paid positions in the whole of the party. Regional Organisers, Press Officers (we had one!) and others in prominent positions, worked for the love of the party not seeking any reward whatsoever other than the satisfaction that they had played a part in building up a party of nationalist unity.

Expulsions were a rarity and those who were given the boot, deserved it!

People like Hill, Hepple, Clayton-Garnett and Cotterill who were exposed as either infiltrators or turncoats. By and large, disputes were settled within local branches before they mushroomed into a major incident.

Today, the BNP is a party run by fear.

A loyal official can be replaced at the drop of a hat anytime, anywhere often without good reason and to the detriment of the area in which he or she was involved. Every day, there are new policies introduced that often dilute the original. Moderation is the name of the game and even the mildest of racial bias is not only frowned upon but stifled at birth!

I have met newer BNP members who openly declare they have no racial prejudice nor would they demur from allowing ethnics into their family circle!

Yet they loudly declare they are nationalists!

What have we seen within the BNP recently? We have seen election victories and annual mass rallies. We have seen an influx of non-white members, a selection of Asian candidates to represent British Nationalism and last but not least, an open declaration of support for the bandit state of Israel! The election victories are not down to the sole efforts of the new leadership. These results were the direct consequence of the work put in at local levels and all credit to those who achieved these results. The Red, White and Blue rallies are purposely designed to attract younger members and to provide entertainment to their liking.

There is nothing wrong with this but I have noticed that there are no longer annual general meetings where each and every member had a chance of attending. These meetings were always well organized and gave members a chance to put their own points of view forward. I have spoken at many of these AGMs in the past and always found then both informative and enjoyable. Why, then, are they no longer held?

Is the leadership afraid of too much criticism?

Do the party leaders wish to shy away from unpopular policies?

Probably it’s because they fear the presence of so many dissenters under one roof may spark off a call for resignations! The BNP cannot go on for ever and a day watering down policies. There will come a time when the party will change its name to accommodate the new resolutions. The word ‘British’ will become redundant in favour of something more all-embracing. ‘National’ will be dropped as it implies racial preference. What the hell we will be left with, God alone knows! Probably something like ‘The Progressive Party’ or some such nonsense!

The electorate believes that the BNP supports the white community 100%. It will serve no purpose foisting on the voters a nationalist candidate from an ethnic community. They want a change; they want a party they can identify with themselves. Unfortunately, they won’t get this within the present climate of BNP policy. Surely, it’s time to call a halt to this charade of moderation and return to the basic roots of nationalist principles.

Navy Gets Three Meals A Day For £1.80

What could you buy for the princely sum of £1.80? Three bars of chocolate, maybe half a pint of beer?

US troops fed on bigger budgets

Well £1.80 is precisely how much Royal Navy chefs have in their daily budget for the breakfast, lunch and dinner of each serviceman and woman onboard their warships.

"It's tough work knocking out decent food on a budget like that, even Jamie Oliver would struggle," a source told Sky News Online.
"Police dogs get fed about four quids' worth of food each day, so that puts it all in perspective."
But despite their limited budget, the Navy chefs do deliver a decent meal, three times a day, for the 240 crew onboard HMS Campbeltown off the coast of Iraq.
Their mission is to provide security and stability on Iraq's territorial waters.
Breakfast consists of cereal, fruit juice, a small fry-up along with tea and coffee. Lunch is simply a baguette, possibly cheese, while dinner is a basic meat and two veg.
And when it comes to maintaining morale, decent food is a pre-requisite.
"There's no doubt that a well-fed ship is a happy ship," said one officer. "Poor food will have an effect on morale, but our chefs do fantastic work."
All at £1.80 a head, three times a day.

In contrast, a visit to the US airbase at al Udeid in Qatar is something of an eye-opener.
The food seems limitless. Pancakes, syrup, a variety of juices, French toast, grilled meats, cereals, yoghurts, muffins, the list goes on.
There is even a Baskin Robbins ice-cream counter. A sign asks politely that ice-creams are limited to two per person.
The "Independence Dining Facility" is pretty much like being in any American diner. There is also a plasma screen in the corner beaming in live footage of the NBA College Play-Offs.
It is quite obvious that whatever the American military's budget for their personnel's daily food is, it is a lot more than £1.80.
And then there is the recreation area: 10 pool tables, three tabletennis tables, an air hockey game, a fridge full of mineral water, a popcorn machine and even a separate room packed with PlayStations and XBox consoles.
"We could only dream of stuff like this on our base," one member of the RAF told me. "If we did have a pool table, the baize would be ripped and we'd probably be sharing cues!"
It seems that when it comes to spending money on its military, the US could teach Britain a thing or two.

If anti-Gentilism can motivate Jews to promote Gentile defilement with hardcore pornography, one does not have to look far to spot other forms of Jewish revenge against the White Christians.

In much Jewish literature, there is both fear, fascination and even jealousy of the fair European aesthetic. It is a not so subtle image that he has command over the most beautiful White woman in the world. And, of course, the supermodel is posed to appear that she really enjoys being in his clutches.

The cover is a clear message from the top fashion magazine in the world, one read by millions of White women, that having a Black sex partner is the most fashionable, coolest thing there is. It is also a direct affront to every White man, with the depiction of a Black male shouting his capture of the White woman on the cover of the world’s leading magazine for women.For 37,460 White women raped or sexually abused by Black males in 2005 (U.S. Justice Dept. Data), the picture represents not a Jewish magazines dream of fashion but a reminder of terrible brutalization and defilement. (For those who still don’t know it, the same Justice Dept. Data shows less than 10 Black women raped by White men in 2005)

Ironically, because of the truly animalistic appearance of Lebron next to an aesthetic, angel-like Gisele, some leftists complained that the cover was reminiscent of the old King Kong Movie posters. Not really, for White women never had to worry about being raped by a fictional King Kong, but in modern America they must be concerned about Black rape, for it is an ever present danger in our sick society..

Just like movies such as Stanley Kramer’s Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, and Rick Rosenthal’s new film, Greta, (both promoting White women with Blacks and both produced by Jewish activists) Vogue and a thousand other Jewish publications are incessantly working for the intermarriage and dissolution of our people.

All this is at the same time that every major Jewish organization around the world has programs to prevent Jewish intermarriage with Gentiles.

Leading MPs' expenses released

New details of MPs' expenses released today show that former prime minister Tony Blair claimed £116 to pay his TV licence, his successor Gordon Brown claimed £2,000 for cleaning and ex-deputy prime minister John Prescott £4,000 for food over a year.

The details were released by Speaker Michael Martin to the BBC after House of Commons authorities decided not to appeal the Information Commissioner's ruling that they were wrong to withhold them.

There is no suggestion that any of the claims were in breach of rules, but they shine another spotlight into the operation of the Westminster allowances system, which has come under increasing scrutiny in recent months.

Today's release is understood to contain a breakdown of how much was claimed by six prominent MPs in the financial year 2003/04 on a range of different items, including stationery, IT equipment, travel for the MP and spouse and groceries.

But it does not include the full details, including receipts and invoices, being demanded under a separate information request relating to 14 MPs, which the House of Commons Commission is appealing at the High Court on the grounds that it breaches members' privacy. The Commission argues that publishing the full documentation relating to allowance claims would inevitably mean MPs' home addresses becoming public knowledge.

Mexico reconquers California? Absolut drinks to that!

The latest advertising campaign in Mexico from Swedish vodka maker Absolut promises to push all the right buttons south of the U.S. border, but it could ruffle a few feathers in El Norte.

The billboard and press campaign, created by advertising agency Teran\TBWA and now running in Mexico, is a colorful map depicting what the Americas might look like in an "Absolut" -- i.e., perfect -- world.

The U.S.-Mexico border lies where it was before the Mexican-American war of 1848 when California, as we now know it, was Mexican territory and known as Alta California.

Following the war, the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo saw the Mexican territories of Alta California and Santa Fé de Nuevo México ceded to the United States to become modern-day California, Texas, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado and Arizona. (Texas actually split from Mexico several years earlier to form a breakaway republic, and was voluntarily annexed by the United States in 1846.)

The campaign taps into the national pride of Mexicans, according to Favio Ucedo, creative director of leading Latino advertising agency Grupo Gallegos in the U.S.

Ucedo, who is from Argentina, said: “Mexicans talk about how the Americans stole their land, so this is their way of reclaiming it. It’s very relevant and the Mexicans will love the idea.”
But he said that were the campaign to run in the United States, it might fall flat.

“Many people aren’t going to understand it here. Americans in the East and the North or in the center of the county -- I don’t know if they know much about the history.

“Probably Americans in Texas and California understand perfectly and I don’t know how they’d take it.”

Meanwhile, the campaign has been circulating on the blogs and generating strong responses from people north of the border.

“I find this ad deeply offensive, and needlessly divisive. I will now make a point of drinking other brands. And 'vodka and tonic' is my drink,” said one visitor, called New Yorker, on MexicoReporter.com.

Reader Paul Green goes into a discussion on the blog Gateway Pundit of whether the U.S. territories ever belonged to Mexico in the first place, and the News12 Long island site invited people to boycott Absolut, with one user, called LivingSmall, writing: “If you drink Absolut vodka, you can voice your approval or disapproval of this advertising campaign with your purchases. I know I will be switching to Grey Goose or Stoli and will never have another bottle of Absolut in my house.

Ken's secret son is 15 and living in London

Ken Livingstone has a secret son who is a happy and successful 15-year-old schoolboy who regularly sees his father, the Standard can reveal.

The Evening Standard has known for some years about the Mayor's son and two daughters from another, earlier relationship, but chose not to publish the story.

Now Mr Livingstone has himself disclosed the fact that he has five children, and not two as everyone supposed.

The existence of his three secret children emerged last night in a BBC London report. It claimed that the Mayor had been "an involved father" to all of them and is in regular contact.

When the revelations were put to him, he acknowledged that Emma Beal and others close to him knew of his other children.

After the birth of his first child with his current partner, Ms Beal, in 2002, Mr Livingstone made no move to correct the widespread report that it was his first child. While Londoners believed this to be the case - and congratulated the mayor on becoming a father for the first time at the age of 57 - close friends knew the truth.

They also knew that Mr Livingstone was extremely touchy about his two secret families. "This has always been a big no-no with Ken," one said. "You just don't go there."

But now he has revealed the existence of his three unknown children, apparently because the fact was about to be published in a new biography.
His daughters are grown up and were born during a relationship that pre-dated his high-profile political career. But his son, who is 16 this year, was born while he was MP for Brent East, with a schoolteacher, now in her 50s. She lives in north London with the boy and he attends a local school.
Mr Livingstone has two children with Ms Beal, Tom, five and fouryearold Mia.

Some months ago, the Evening Standard received a letter from a person who said they had a child at the same school and that it was well-known among staff and pupils that the boy was Ken Livingstone's son, but the mayor had never publicly acknowledged him. In fact the Mayor has been involved in the boy's life since his birth.

It seems he would have preferred to keep the existence of his three unknown children a secret, but he was asked about them by Andrew Hosken, the BBC journalist and author whose new biography of the mayor is due out soon.

Hosken told the Standard: "During one of my meetings with Ken at City Hall I raised the question of the children."
Mr Livingstone sought to shrug off the issue with a return to the mayoral campaign trail today.

He was today preparing to stage an event in Holloway warning Londoners not to vote for the far-right British National Party in the coming City Hall elections.

Insert a new twist to the political parlor game that involves following the moves of Rupert Murdoch and his clan: his daughter, Elisabeth, is hosting at her London home a fund-raiser for Senator Barack Obama.

Ms. Murdoch is one of a slew of “event chairs,” which also includes Gwyneth Paltrow, for the April 28 event at Ms. Murdoch’s home in Notting Hill. David Blood, who runs an investment fund with former Vice President Al Gore that specializes in environmentally-friendly companies, is also listed as an “event host.”

A contribution of $2,300 offers access to the V.I.P. reception; attendance to the main event only requires a $1,000 donation.Mr. Murdoch, of course, is chairman of the News Corporation, which includes under its umbrella Fox News and the New York Post. Last year, he even contributed $2,300 to her presidential campaign.

But the Post endorsed Mr. Obama just before the crush of states that voted on Feb. 5 in a bruising editorial that excoriated Mrs. Clinton, causing media observers to declare that the honeymoon was over for this political odd couple.

Ms. Murdoch, 39, is Mr. Murdoch’s second daughter, one of three children from Mr. Murdoch’s second marriage, who as a group represent the locus of where the betting over who might succeed him has centered.

She holds dual citizenship in the United States and Britain and left British Sky Broadcasting, in which News Corporation is a major investor and she was managing director of Sky Networks, in 2000 to start her own media company, Shine Ltd. She is married to Matthew Freud—great-grandson of Sigmund Freud—a prominent public relations executive in London.

The Utter Normality Of Ethnonationalism—Except For Whites

Jerry Z. Muller’s Foreign Affairs article, Us and Them: The Enduring Power of Ethnic Nationalism (March/April, 2008), is a grim and timely reminder of the power of ethnicity in human affairs. It has explosive implications for the future of the United States and the West.

Muller demonstrates that, over the last 150 years or so, the general trend in Europe and elsewhere has been has been toward the creation of ethnically-based states—“ethnostates”. This trend did not end with the close of World War II. In Europe, the war was followed by a forced resettlement of peoples—mainly Germans—to create ethnically homogeneous states. Indeed, the high point of ethnic homogenization in Europe was in the two generations in the immediate aftermath of World War II.
Muller writes:
“As a result of this massive process of ethnic unmixing, the ethnonationalist ideal was largely realized: for the most part, each nation in Europe had its own state, and each state was made up almost exclusively of a single ethnic nationality. During the Cold War, the few exceptions to this rule included Czechoslovakia, the Soviet Union, and Yugoslavia. But these countries' subsequent fate only demonstrated the ongoing vitality of ethnonationalism.”

This point is crucial. While the recent spreading of the European Union imperium has given rise to a great deal of “post-nation” rhetoric, it has in fact been accompanied by an astonishing multiplication of ethnostates, split out of Yugoslavia and the former USSR — not to mention, of course, the Czech/Slovak division

Ethnic conflict is apparent as well throughout the developing world, and will likely lead to more partitioning and nation-creation. As Muller notes: “In areas where that separation has not yet occurred, politics is apt to remain ugly”.

But a huge anomaly has arisen.

Recently, Western societies have embarked on a public policy project in which the ethno nationalism of white people is officially proscribed as an unadulterated evil. Multiculturalism only is encouraged and viewed as morally superior. As Muller notes: “Americans … find ethnonationalism discomfiting both intellectually and morally”.

As a social scientist who takes the biological component of ethnicity seriously (although I readily agree that there is a cultural component as well), I can speak from personal experience about the hostility and moral disdain one faces from other academic social scientists when one points to these unfashionable facts.

Although World War II marked the defeat of the ethnonationalist National Socialist movement, Muller is clearly correct that it resulted in a Europe that was more accurately divided into ethnostates than ever. But World War II also saw the triumph of the political and cultural Left. These two cultural facts have been at odds ever since.

German National Socialists remain the bogeyman of the political and cultural Left to this day. The Left is utterly dedicated to eradicating any vestiges of European ethnonationalism. Opponents of immigration are routinely labeled “racists” or “Nazis” for advocating policies that are, in fact, the norm in the rest of the world. Thus Israel favors Jewish immigrants, Spain favors people from its former Latin American Empire, India its “Non-Resident Indians” (NRIs), China favors the Overseas Chinese.

As Muller notes: “In a global context, it is the [Western] insistence on universalist criteria [for immigration] that seems provincial.”

And, Muller points out, the anomaly whereby Western nations have sought to turn their backs on ethnic homogeneity is quite modern:
“The ethnonationalist view has traditionally dominated through much of Europe and has held its own even in the United States until recently. For substantial stretches of U.S. history, it was believed that only the people of English origin, or those who were Protestant, or white, or hailed from northern Europe were real Americans. It was only in 1965 that the reform of U.S. immigration law abolished the system of national-origin quotas that had been in place for several decades. This system had excluded Asians entirely and radically restricted immigration from southern and eastern Europe.”

In attempting to account for this trend in opposition to ethnonationalism in Western societies, my own writing has emphasized the triumph of the Left and particularly the role of some Jewish intellectual and political movements and certain elements of the organized Jewish community as the vanguard of the left and the most important force in passage of the 1965 immigration law (PDF). As Muller’s essay observes, Jews were major victims of the ethnonationalism of others. Anti-Semitism was a general force throughout Eastern and Central Europe, culminating in the slaughters of World War II. And Muller notes that a prime motivation was that Jews dominated areas of the economy and segments of the social class structure to which others aspired—a principal theme of my book

Separation and Its Discontents.

This history of loss as a result of others’ ethnonationalism doubtless goes a long way toward explaining the main thrust of Jewish intellectual and political movements in the 20th Century—a principal theme of my book The Culture of Critique.

For example, the Jewish opposition to immigration policies favoring the European majority of the US dates back to before the immigration cut-off of the 1920s and spans the entire mainstream Jewish political spectrum, from the far left to the neoconservative right, to this day.

However, Jewish opposition to the ethnonationalism of Europeans and European-derived peoples is in remarkable contrast to their unswerving support for the Jewish ethnonationalist state of Israel — a rather glaring double standard, to say the least. There is a rather straightforward analogy of Jews as victims of nascent ethnonationalism in Europe and Palestinians as victims of nascent Jewish ethno nationalism in Israel. (And ex-President Carter, in his recent Peace Not Apartheid, triggered much hysteria by noting the similarities between the policing techniques of Israel and the Afrikaner ethnonationalist state of pre-1990 South Africa.)

As Muller notes: “Social scientists go to great lengths to demonstrate that [ethnonationalism] is a product not of nature but of culture, often deliberately constructed. And ethicists scorn value systems based on narrow group identities rather than cosmopolitanism. But none of this will make ethnonationalism go away.” (My emphasis –KM)

Indeed, a mainstay of the intellectual left since Franz Boas and his disciples came to dominate academic anthropology beginning in the 1920s has been a rejection of any theories that allow for biological influences on culture. A corollary is that different peoples and different cultures do not, therefore, have legitimate, biologically-based conflicts of interest.
But the data are quite clear: There are genetic distances between different peoples and different peoples therefore have legitimate conflicts of interest. And: there are deep psychological roots to ethnocentrism that make us attracted to and more trusting of genetically similar others. (PDF)
These biological realities will not simply disappear, no matter how fervently social scientists and other political and cultural elites wish they would.

But that does not mean that these realities cannot be repressed—at least temporarily. The response of the Left has been to entrench a culture of “political correctness” in which expressions of ethnocentrism by Europeans are proscribed. Organizations such as the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti-Defamation League seek draconian penalties against such expressions by Europeans—and only Europeans. Many European countries and Canada have savage legal penalties that enforce intellectual conformity on these issues. In America the sanctions are more informal—but nevertheless similarly effective.

Whatever the drawbacks to ethnic nationalism (and the most obvious is the bloodshed that sometimes accompanies the creation of ethnostates), it has at least three overriding advantages expressed or implied by Muller:
As also noted by Frank Salter, because of closer ties of kinship and culture, ethnically homogeneous societies are more likely to be open to redistributive policies such as social welfare.

Sociologists such as Robert Putnam have also shown that ethnic homogeneity is associated with greater trust of others and greater political participation.

And finally, as noted also by historians of European modernization, ethnic homogeneity may well be a precondition of political systems characterized by democracy and rule of law.

Political correctness in the West cannot be maintained without constantly ratcheting up the social controls on individual thought and behavior. Western societies will experience increased ethnic conflict. Their governments will increasingly be obliged to enact draconian penalties for deviations from political correctness. And probably also to “correct” ethnic imbalances in social status and political power—much as the Hapsburg and Ottoman empires of old were forced in their declining years to constantly bargain with rising ethnic pressure groups. Democracy, representative government, and freedom will be likely casualties.

Finally, Muller’s essay is interesting in that it highlights how normal ethno national strivings are, even among Europeans.

In a very short period, Europe and European-derived societies, which had achieved an unprecedented level of ethnic homogeneity following World War II, have developed a stifling political correctness, in which any tiny vestige of ethnocentrism on the part of Europeans is crushed with all the power the ruling elites can muster.

This is taking place while the rest of the world continues to undergo modernization via the creation of ethno states.

Muller’s essay makes one realize that this multicultural fad really may be just a phase—and a backwardly echoing phase at that, recalling the failed multicultural empires of the pre-modern era.
The climate of anti-ethnocentrism in the West is utterly anomalous, and set against the rest of the world.

In my own writing, I have emphasized biologically-based European tendencies toward individualism and relative lack of ethnocentrism as flaws that have predisposed European whites to these tactical blunders. And I have emphasized how political correctness works at the psychological level (PDF) to suppress the legitimate ethnic aspirations of Europeans.
However, Muller’s essay reminds us that Europeans have a long history of ethnic conflict. Ethnic nationalism was a precondition of European modernization. It also reminds us that, whatever their tendencies toward individualism, Europeans certainly also have sufficient levels of ethnocentrism to assert their interests and to establish ethnically homogeneous states of their own.

As Muller points out, though, the process is can be ugly. Just ask the Israelis—and the Palestinians.

Finally, as Muller notes, ethnic homogeneity is compatible with—perhaps conducive to—liberal democracy. At a theoretical level, this is because ethnic conflict produces deep, frequently irreconcilable divisions within a society and ultimately, causes group-based competition for resources and political power. These can be very hard to mediate.

The difficulty of establishing democracy and the rule of law in societies divided by ethnic conflict is a major theme of the contemporary world.
So is the campaign to bully European-stock whites, alone of all the world’s groups, to forswear ethnocentric politics and consequently to fatally disable themselves in an unchangingly ethnocentric world.
