Dr.Mark Deavin and an interesting quote ......................
"...............But here's an even stranger coincidence. Shortly before the 1997 general election, Mark Deavin spoke freely of his plans to undercover researchers from Searchlight magazine and The Cook Report, who had posed as emissaries from Jean-Marie Le Pen's Front National. One necessary step, he said, was to get rid of the BNP leader John Tyndall ("who is actually an obstacle") and replace him with Deavin's chum Nick Griffin. This would leave one other obstacle. "If Blair becomes prime minister," Deavin predicted, "the BNP will be the official opposition in the inner cities, in working-class areas. The UKIP will be the opposition in the shires, the county areas, the middle-class opposition. That party is a serious opposition to us in middle England, but, if we had the resources, we could tear it to pieces." .........................

Does Deavin pull the griffin strings?
Is Deavin his MI6 contact?
Deavin has still managed to have a decent job in academia AND publish books. Even Irving cannot do that !
About the author;
Dr Mark Deavin took an Honours B.A. in international history and politics at the University of Leeds in 1987, obtained a Masters degree at Leeds with distinction in European Studies, then took his Ph.D at the London School of Economics. After a brief flirtation with right-wing politics he has settled down to become a leading historian of the Harold Macmillan era.

LSE was a centre of marxist ideology.
The item about Deavin got me thinking.
In 1998, shortly after I returned from South Africa, I visited The Griffin Farm with two other NW BNP activists. NG told us that he had been promised cash from the French Front-National IF John Tyndall was replaced, hence his leadership challange.
I have no proof of this conversation apart from my memory but this Deavin posting jogged my memory.
(A nationalist of long standing known to PB)
Deavin's supervisor for his doctoral thesis at the LSE was Dr Alan Sked, then leader of UKIP.
IIRC Deavin is related to Garry Bushell.
Sked betrayed and forced out of UKIP, after which the party took a sudden lurch to the Left.
Sound familiar?
