LIBERTY IS INDIVISIBLE

2008-10-24 14:10:37 - The campaigning group Civil Liberty have called a demonstration in support of a teacher being charged by the General Teaching Council for 'political offences'.
LIBERTY IS INDIVISIBLE! Everyone must have the right to hold political views and hold down a job without the two contradicting the other.Political vetting is not part of the British culture (although it has/is part of others). We like it that way. Indeed many defenders of Liberty overseas use the experience of the U.K. as a model of how to tolerate other viewpoints.

Unfortunately, not everyone in the country believes in this tolerance. Members of the far-left in particular, are beginning to flex their muscles by calling the banning from various professions of those they dislike .At present left-wing members of the General Teaching Council (GTC) are threatening to convict a teacher of 'racial and religious intolerance'. They have charged this teacher (Adam Walker) with voicing his 'intolerance' via the Internet.

EXCUSE?

We believe however that the charge is a pre-textural excuse because Mr. Walker is known to be a member of the British National Party (BNP) and this probably accounts for why all his communications were monitored. Whatever ones opinions of the BNP are, Mr Walker should have every right to his political opinions and to join any (legal) political party. His views should be of no concern to the GTC. We, as a liberty organisation, have organised a demonstration in support of Mr. Walker entitled 'Make a noise for Freedom' outside the GTC Hearing on November 17th. The Press are welcome.Theme: MAKE A NOISE FOR FREEDOM! (asking people to bring instruments)Date: November 17thPlace: Victoria Square, Birmingham. 24/10/08

NWN:

We agree with the above, but when will the BNP practice what it preaches?
The BNP, is more than happy to expel anyone whose opinion, or outlook, differs from their own. Sadly, this well deserved day of action for, Mr Walker, will be lost in the wreckage of all those thrown out of the BNP for having minds of their own.

Can't disagree with you NWN
Pretty dumb to defend someone when they can't even defend their own members who speak out

Kevin Scott, the North Easts Simon Darby-bloody useless.

I wouldn't trust 'snivil liberty' further than I could throw it.

What a joke.

Ask where the money goes that you donate to 'civil...cough bloody cough liberty' and see what snotty response you get.
Charlatans the lot of them.

All the best to the guy who has lost his job though.

Maybe I have got the wrong chap, but is he not now a senior person in Solidarity?
The union filched from decent members by Shafters and Co.

Why don't you ask Civil Liberty to take it up? Don't worry, I'm joking. The BNP is hypocritical in the extreme, and is why it's doomed to fail.

You report that the General Teaching Council is to prosecute a teacher for 'political offences'. How truely Owellian. How utterley anti-democratic. In a free and democratic society each individual may hold, without fear, what ever political (or religious) views he/she chooses. Their political (regligious) views are irrelivant to their job because it is understood that their views are personal and not brought into the workplace. This statement is the definition of a free society. Those who oppose ,for whatever pretended and contrived reasons, such freedoms reveal themselves as anti-democrates and anti-freedom.
If an individual is to be persecuted because of his/her political persuasion why should a person not be persecuted because of his/her sexual oriantation or some other personal preferance? Those who now initiate and pursue such actions against those whos political views they do not share are hypocrites and probilly bigots but most certainly they are anti-freedom.
All who love freedom must stand together in proud defence of the plurallity of views and beliefs and in defiance of the would be dictators.

They are marching four abreast here in Lancashire, who have opposed Griffin, and been expelled by the bastard.

Anonymous said...

It would be very interesting to see just how many Griffin has expelled from the BNP ?

There must be dozens, if not hundreds.

Their only crime to be a threat to Griffin.

Perhaps Mr Kevin Scott would like to explain here why the BNP's own members are denied freedom of opinion and association.

'Expellee'

Anonymous said...

In what way are BNP members denied 'freedom of speech' and 'association'?

I'm intrigued.

Anonymous said...

Interesting that even Liberty grasps the fact that the BNP is being used as a vehicle to increase repression.

All the need now is to understanbd that the BNP is being used WILLINGLY.

"The BNP already owns Civil Liberty"

Rubbish, two of the December rebels work closely with Kevin Scott on Civil Liberty. It is NOT a BNP run organisation and Gri££in cannot get his filthy mitts on money raised by Civil Liberty. Scott and Gri££in have fallen out in recent months and Scott no longer has a place on the Advisory Council, probably because he has a mind of his own and unafraid to speak out. Not the kind of person One-Eye wants around!

No suprises here then!

They are given lists of people via the parties monthly bulletin who are proscribed, and should not be spoken to. If you associate with anyone on the proscribed list you ARE be expelled by the BNP. BNP members live in fear and converse with proscribed members in secret.

Ooooh, so that's why Kevin Scott was banned from the BNP forum by Arthur Kemp :-)

Very true

I'm on the proscribed list, and BNP members always ask me to keep it quiet when they talk to me. I always tell them that if they're afraid, they're in the wrong the party.

Anonymous said...

I've no time or sympathy for either of the Walker brothers after witnesing thier disgusting behaviour at last years annual conference and by that I mean the fact that they both shagged Phylis Carter in the toilets of the New Kimberley Hotel - not exactly Nationalistic behaviour but I suppose thier sexual deviancy is why Griffin likes them.

Anonymous said...

Griffin has been going about telling people not to bother donating to Civil Liberty for ages, all because the ugly, fat, one-eyed, thieving bastard can't get his grubby paws on the money.

Anonymous said...

So Griffin can't get his sticky mitts on SlitherLiberty monies.

But no doubt that horrorbag, Kevin Scott and that towering inferno of pure shite, Barnes are soaking it up nicely.

And if Kevin Scott is no longer Griffin's flavour of the month then it couldn't happen to a nicer shyster.

Eat crow and worse Scott!
You deserve it.

I agree

He was really horrible to me, and we'd never even met. People seem to think they're immune from Griffins axe. Be warned, and treat people as you would be treated, as you'll need them in the end.

Anonymous said...

Would you care to list all the people who have been proscribed in the BNP members' bulletin and when this happened?

I'm still intrigued.

Are any of these alleged people who BNP members can't talk to worth talking to?

As for the idea of anyone shagging in those toilets in that Blackpool hotel. That is just nonsense and rumour mongering.

They were flooded.

Obviously, the red troll spreading that particular rumour about the Walker brothers and Ms Carter wouldn't know that.

Anyway, it is a hotel. Why didn't they just hire or borrow a room?

Oh please, don't come on here with your BNP brainwashing bollocks. No one on this blog is a red. Not everyone who writes something you dislike is a communist. As for the toilet sex, I don't know wether the Walkers had sex, but we know for a fact that BNP security were having sex in those toilets, so the flooding and filth in that hotel didn't appear to bother too many, did it?

It happened, you might not want to believe it but it happened on two nights.

anonymous @ 11:03, I'm surprised you haven't figured out by now that NWN doesn't care about truth but would much rather smear people. The moral is don't believe everything you read on the internet. A lot of it is made up rubbish.

Anonymous said...

No reds on this blog!

How naive can you get?

Again, why would anyone use the flooded toilets of a hotel for sex, when rooms could be hired or borrowed in that very same hotel?

Still waiting for the list of 'banned' people, incidentally.

Perhaps anonymous should hear it from the horses mouth - oops, I mean Phylis Carters mouth as she was the one who was going about telling all and sundry at the conference about her sordid little deed!

We're not interested in what you have to say, Mr Collett.

The majority of nationalists when allowed to be honest find you disgusting, creepy, and morally base.

Run off back to your master, there's a good little boy.

More rumour mongering and guessing games.

If you lot are on the 'banned' list (should it even exist) then I'm not surprised to say the least.

I take it none of you cyber warriors will be attending the Adam Walker demo then?

Are we invited? I'm also on the proscribed list.

Anonymous said...

Regarding the proscribed list, which region of the country do you want ?

Let's start with the NWN region shall we ?

Pete Barker was proscribed in 2001.
Steve Smith 2003
Simon Bennett
Luke Smith (RIP)
Dave Jones
Bev Jones
Richard Chadfield
Joe Owens
Robin Evans (was proscribed, though may have been taken off the list of late)
Martin Brierley
Peter Rushton

I also bet Chris Jackson isn't on the official speakers list anymore.

The griffinites have got chutzpah, well they would have the cheek wouldn't they ?

I am sure I have missed out some and that's just from the North West.

John Tyndall was expelled TWICE and Richard Edmonds was taken off the speakers list.

I think nationalists should turn out for this. If anyone remembers 2006 they'll know that Sharon Ebanks was almost slaughtered by 60 reds in Victoria Square, and not a copper in sight. I don't agree with the BNPs treatment of its ex members, but wouldn't want to see any nationalists harmed.

Chris Hill has been proscribed as well.

Looking at the assholes in Birmingham that will be attending ,I will be disgusted myself to even look at them as it would insult my racial nationalist's feeling's.
Because the Birmingham BNP know the truth of the betrayal of S.Ebanks by the BNP and the way they treated her in respect to giving any support to her in fact they abandoned her in her our of greatest need, and to throw insult at injury they lied about her on their own forum and lied about me as well.
I look at them with utter contempt.

The nationalist cause deserves my support but not this Birmingham shower of shit,if i attend the demo i will ignore them as they will ignore them.
Keith Axon.

Lady Michele Renouf was banned from speaking at a Croyden BNP meeting a couple of years back.

Whether you choose to support Nationalists being persecuted for their political beliefs is a matter for you. I for one will be there and find it difficult to understand why you are putting some internal factional squabble before defending freedom. You remind me of some of the worst people on the far-left. Whether you attend or not many Nationalists will be there and we will be heard.

Anonymous said...

Both Civil Liberty and Solidarity are independent of the BNP. The fact that someone has fallen out with or been expelled from the BNP does not mean they are barred from either group. Why not do positive work supporting such groups and make a positive contribution? It would be a good start to support the demo in Birmingham. If you can't bring yourself to do that one has to question your values.

I see that there is a thread on 'Indymedia' threatening a counter-demonstration in Birmingham. It is full of incitements to violence against those demonstrating in favour of human rights and freedom. The 'Red Fascists' clearly don't like the way events are moving. I hope that all Nationalists will set aside their differences and demonstrate against the political vetting of teachers.
