BNP 'threat' to Labour in Europe

Just in case you missed it the first, second, and third time. Harriet makes it a fourth.

The British National Party could pose a major threat to Labour in the upcoming European elections, Labour's deputy leader Harriet Harman has said.

The BNP "are a bigger threat than they have been before", she told the Independent newspaper in an interview.

She also outlined Labour's efforts to counter the BNP ahead of elections for the European Parliament in June.

Labour is "focused on the BNP in this election in a way it hasn't been previously," she added.

'Below the radar'

Labour is using the slogan "fairness not fear" in areas where there is heavy BNP activity, instead of its national banner "winning the fight for Britain's future".

It is also working with anti-fascist groups and using anti-BNP "battlebuses".

Ms Harman, who is also leader of the Commons and Labour's chairman, was speaking after a campaign visit to north-west England, where BNP leader Nick Griffin is a candidate.

"Most people are not aware the BNP is standing," she said. "It is below the radar. There is very low public awareness of these elections.

"For us, it is a question of pointing out the dangers of the BNP, which now wears suits but whose ideology is as pernicious as ever."

NWN:

More free adverts from Harriet. What more could we ask for? Just that Griffin pops her cheque in the post.

UPDATE:

Make that a fifth!

The establishment always have and always will have a blanket policy of "no publicity for those who threaten them"

The BNP UNDER GRIFFIN is no threat, it is a state controlled safety valve, hence usable, hence the free publicity.

Do you enjoy self defeat?

It may be that Harperson's build up of the BNP is to take votes off the resurgent Tories. She's clearly trying to boost the BNP vote which might give marginal Labour candidates a nudge across the finishing line.

The BNP are indeed a safety valve , but they have to be understood specifically in relation to whatever their current public profile at any time is relative to the Tories' profile.

Labour are like a drowning man. I'm sure that they have served their purpose as far as the anonymous puppet masters are concerned.

The Establishment will now come out with more and more Labour scandals via the bankster controlled media they have been sitting on for a while to ease in the Tories - another bunch of scum. Cameron reminds me of Gri££in.

Do you enjoy kidding yourself or perhaps others? Labour's comments are just typical spin. Why should they care about a powerless party with a few councillors out of 20,000 and maybe a MEP or two in a pretend parliament? It's all a cosy little game to take in the sheeple.

One of the games politicians play is the bogus 'row'.

They emerge from a meeting and the story appears in the press of 'massive row'. It gets them headlines and each side appears to be furiously fighting its corner which pleases its supporters and also allows them to claim they are strong leaders looking after the people.

This rigged game is often played at European 'summits'. 'Brown fights for Britain blah' but it can be applied by any two factions in any situation. Both sides gain. They don't even need to formally collude as long as both sides understand the ploy and go along.

Harman looks to the left as though she really cares and the BNP gets publicity.

The BNP is being taken over by the Ulsterman Dowson (in league with Gri££in.) Hence the changes at the Treasury Department. Dowson has made a lot of money out of the BNP (management courses in Spain etc.) The question is why hasn't Gri££in announced Dowson's importance in the party? Does anybody know any info about Dowson's past? The membership has a right to know!

The big threat is the press not the BNP. That's why spinning is so important. The lies they tell are not quite as important as you think since most people don't care as long as they are getting something out of it. And the big parties make them feel they are.

The world ain't full of truth seekers chum. People are too busy surviving.

I refer any readers of German to the above article on www.stern.de. It is interseting about political blogging in Germany, and keeps you up to date with German words for internet procedures.
