BNP wins first ever county council seat

The British National Party won its first ever county council seat in the UK today.

The far right party won its first seat in Lancashire in the party's stronghold of Burnley as Labour was routed.

Sharon Wilkinson was elected to Lancashire County Council with a massive 30 per cent of the vote as electors dumped Labour in their droves.

Her victory in the Padiham and Burnley West ward, where she was born and brought up, is a major victory for the party.

3 County Council seats at a cost of half a million quad, what a bargin? And the cyclop prick is now saying lets not be to over optimistic for Sunday. The only ones who made from the disastrous election are the crook Dowson and wank stain Collett, both seen recently driving around in large fancy cars! Gri££ins got the cheek to blaim the media, they gave that bastard spiv a easy ride over the past 4 weeks!

BNP leader Nick Griffin said taking the Lancashire seat was a an important win for the party.
"We're very pleased with that because growing in British politics is about being on the ladder and we've already taken seats at the lowest levels of local government and county council is a level we hadn't got to," he said.
"It would be problematic to win a huge number of seats in one go - we're not experienced at that level of government. To grow steadily and get on this rung of the ladder is important."

Little Brother is watching you: Children of ten are taught how to spot a terrorist in police DVD Monitoring lessons: Pupils will watch a programme about spotting extremists
Hundreds of children as young as ten are being urged to spot potential terrorists and shop them to police.
Up to 2,000 are to attend a safety event where a film will tell pupils that extremist views can develop at school.
But critics condemned the initiative as a nightmare extension of the Big Brother state.
Concerns were also raised that children could become subject to police monitoring if their fellow pupils misinterpreted innocent remarks or play.
The Lancashire Police film is being shown in Blackburn as part of its long-running Streetwise event which includes demonstrations on fire safety, water hazards and first aid.
A spokesman said the reference to terrorism could encompass any extremist, including animal rights activists, and not just Islamist fundamentalism.
He said: ‘It’s something we need to be aware of across the country.
‘We’re not trying to scare anybody, we’re just raising awareness.’
But Estella Schmid, a founder of the Campaign against Criminalising Communities, warned: ‘This is a nightmare scenario.
‘This risks criminalising children and is showing the expansion of the state into

He isn't even registered to vote.

This Burnley branch is looking too successful. Putting down roots in the community for long-term growth too.

It will have to be stopped. As the Leader said, the party must not try to advance too fast.

What happened to the tens of millions of leaflets? Did anyone get one through the post anywhere? Straw poll.

Here's the latest 'defeatist' video from Gri££in, he looks a broken man, why did he record it near a busy motorway, is he about to throw himself in front of a speeding lorry, maybe the Truth Trunk?

At the time of posting we do not know the BNP election result.

But all the opinion polls indicate that they will do significantly better than at the last Euro election. Nottinghamshire Stop the BNP is calling a meeting open to all anti-racists and anti-fascists in the area to discuss what needs to be done. We invite other anti-racist organisations to join with us in building the event.

The meeting will be at the Mechanics Institute, at the junction of Shakespeare Street and Nth Sherwood Street, Thursday, June 11th starting at 7:30pm.

Download leaflet

Last minute anti-BNP activity in this area was encouraging but we need to start immediately after the Euro election in making sure that they don’t make an inroad into the British parliament.

Please join us in the discussion on June 11th.

Just babble. These sort of groups have sod all support. Tiny fringe commie SWP 'revolution about to happen' types and malcontents.

The nationalist problem is that the BNP does not look like a serious party in most areas even if huge numbers broadly agree with it.

Good to see the trolls haven't left us, I guess Gerrys little helpers are still on the pay roll.

The term is 'for f**k sake,' no possessive apostrophe or letter S, get your English grammar correct before criticising others!

Why do Howard and Williams rant on about anyone who doesn't kiss Gri££in's arse for "doing nothing" when all they are is net-warriors: druggy, degenerate, paedo-Collette supporting net warriors at that!

"a massive 30%" ? ? ?

So 70% of the people in that ward DIDN'T vote BNP - and that's the "best" of six wards in Burnley.

In the others we took between 12 and 21% of the vote.

The Limp Dems won 5 seats. We won 1.

That's success ?
