Migrant job-seekers offered work on employment website that's for Syrian refugees only

Europeans need not apply for jobs with recruitment firm which wants to help Middle Eastern people settle into their new home

Website release is for Syrian refugees only
A new website is offering Syrian refugees the chance of landing a job in Germany.
A firm called Everjobs launched a migrant employment portal today with a promise to help newcomers settle into their European home.
It aims to "help as many people as we can find a job in Germany", whether they are looking for a new career, a part time job or just "a way to contribute while in exile".
Ronald Jan Schuur, co-founder and CEO, said : "Most forget that many refugees in their home countries had a good life and a good job.

"Conflict and emergencies are forcing people to seek opportunities elsewhere and we can help them best when we are running our network and use our know-how in this field."
Everjobs was set up to offer jobs to people living in Africa, but its new portal is aimed at migrant jobseekers residing in Germany, or thinking of moving there.

It has already opened pages in countries including Cameroon and Ethiopia, inviting residents to leave their home and come to work in Europe.
The jobs on offer in Germany range from drivers positions to high end programmer roles which are likely to come with big pay packets.

The new website was set up by Rocket Internet, a huge tech firm known for its work in developing markets.

On the German Everjobs page, the firm wrote: "It’s never easy finding a job, especially if you factor into the equation work permits and the stress of moving your entire family to a new country.
"Sometimes it can be overwhelming looking for job opportunities in your home country let alone a completely new one.

"We believe and fully encourage people to seek out and find their dream job – especially the refugees and asylum seekers in Germany.
"With this in mind, everjobs will be working with a wide variety of international corporations, national champions, local businesses and NGOs to provide as smooth a transition and stable a future as possible for the refugees in Germany."
