Election 2015: Rochdale arrests after 'disorder' outside count at town hall
Police say the men - both affiliated to a political party - were detained outside the venue
The arrests were made at around 10.30pm tonight just half an hour after voting closed.
Police officers covering the event including Rochdale top cop Chief Inspector Chris Sykes dealt with the incident.
It is believed that the two people may have been intoxicated and had an allegiance to the same political party, but this has not yet been confirmed.
They were taken into custody, where they currently remain.
The count at Rochdale was not disrupted by the incident.
