Salford man charged after offensive stickers were slapped on Halal food in supermarket

Suspect to appear in court after putting racially/religiously offensive stickers on Ordsall shop products

The stickers claim that halal slaughtered meat is “barbaric”
A man is to appear in court after offensive stickers condemning Halal meat were placed around a supermarket.
Liam Gary Edwards, aged 29, of Chancel Avenue, Salford, has been charged with causing racially or religiously aggravated criminal damage.
On February 18, 2015, a number of stickers read: ''Beware halal is barbaric and funds terrorism'’ were placed on food products and equipment at a supermarket on Regent Road, Ordsall.
Mr Edwards is due to appear at Manchester magistrates court on March 18.
