AN internet troll who made disgusting jokes about the death of soldier Lee Rigby can be exposed today.
Baby-faced moron Michael Morton sparked fury with internet postings mocking the tragic Woolwich murder victim.
Morton, 18, from Stirling, faced a furious backlash after writing on his public Facebook page: “Lee Rigby. Rest In Pieces.”
He posted the remark after being accused by other Celtic fans of singing shocking songs about Private Rigby’s death outside a pub in London before the Parkhead side’s pre-season friendly against Brentford last month.
It is not known whether Morton was in Brentford for the match but hours later he updated his page with: “Any Celtic fan who sings about Lee Rigby is off their head. Pardon the pun.”
The pages – which have since been deleted – were posted online by Celtic supporters who said he had shamed the club and should face police action.
One fan said: “This guy’s an idiot who deserves everything he gets – it’s absolutely outrageous to call yourself a Celtic fan and then laugh at someone’s murder like this.
“These people think they can hide behind the internet and say what they like. To mock the Rigby murder is absolutely appalling. The guy should be ashamed of himself.”
Morton boasted last year of stealing Remembrance Day poppies from a McDonald’s restaurant. He even posed for a photograph squatting over the scattered flowers on a pavement.
But Morton was lost for words when he was confronted by the Sunday Mail near his home.
Ashen-faced, he refused to answer questions about the posts and why he had put them on Facebook.
And when told that far-right activists had been trying to find him, he muttered “good luck with that” before cycling off with a bag of shopping.
Private Rigby, 25, of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, was attacked and killed close to his barracks in Woolwich, south-east London.
The dad-of-one was off duty and walking alone back to his base on May 22 when he was murdered in an alleged terror attack which shocked the world.
Two men – Michael Adebolajo, 28, and Michael Adebowale, 22 – have been charged with murder and are in custody awaiting trial.
