13th August 1977 - National Front march through Lewisham

The march was to protest about black muggers operating in Lewisham and other parts of South London. About 1,500 NF supporters marched through Lewisham in spite of serious and severe rioting by left wing and communist mobs. About 10,000+ Labour party,communists and anarchists mobilised and 'whipped up' the local black population to riot on a massive scale.
The whole violent mob had been organised by a group called ALCARAF and led by the 'red' Bishop Mervyn Stockwood and financed and also led by Martin Savitt of the Board of Deputies of British Jews. From left to right ; Roger Godsiff left wing Mayor of Lewisham, Mike Power , Communist Party UK, Bishop Stockwood and finally Martin Savitt Board of Deputies of British Jews.
Whilst this pdf file is from a marxist point of view it is nevertheless useful to have a look at what happened that day in Lewisham , South London.
