St Georges Day - 23rd April 1977, National Front march. Wood Green and near Turnpike lane tube station. North London.

One for the 'oldies' now. Right at the start of this march, there are a number of Manchester NF members. Can you spot them, and name them ?

Which branch did they attend ? Tower Hamlets NF had a great turnout of handy lads on that march. Two of the Manchester lads were Alf Coles in the colour party and wearing his raincoat, and moving up on the centre left is Neil Mead, an ex Parachute Regiment lad, who served at Suez crisis in 1956. Neil was a National Steward, a great lad and a real hard case and was involved in recent years with Oldham PRA . Sadly, I hear he has fairly recently passed away.
