For those of us non-military, we would like you to focus on the SA80 rifle on the wall, by Prince Harrys head . Now bear in mind this is in a 'war zone' - Afghanistan . On the end of the rifle is a yellow piece of metal, on the end of the barrel. That is called a BFA - a 'blank fire attachment', it is for firing 'blank rounds. Why oh why, would Harry possess such a thing, and have it fitted to his personal weapon in a combat zone ? If they had a 'crash out', a live round could be put into the rifle and fired which could actually kill the rifle holder as the BFA totally blocks the rifle barrel. The BFA would NOT be in a combat zone.
