Is there a General Election in the offing ?

-----------------------------------------------------------

Tories pledge to deport illegal immigrants first, then hear appeals later: Home Secretary wants to put illegal immigrants on a plane before they have chance to appeal

  • Theresa May wants to implement new 'deport first, appeal later' regime
  • The rules would be brought in if the Tories win the General Election
  • Exceptions would only apply to migrants at risk of 'irreversible harm'
  • Move seeks to end racket of immigrants prolonging stays using appeals

Illegal immigrants would be put on a plane before they get the chance to appeal under Conservative plans to rip up deportation laws.
Home Secretary Theresa May wants to implement a new regime of 'deport first, appeal later'.
The rules, to be brought in if the Tories are re-elected, would apply to anyone with an expired visa or those living in Britain without permission.
The only exceptions would be asylum-seekers or migrants who could suffer 'irreversible' harm if sent back to a dangerous country. The move seeks to end the racket of thousands of illegal immigrants being able to prolong their stay in Britain for months or even years by lodging a string of appeals and judicial reviews.

Officials also hope the crackdown – central to Tory manifesto plans to slash net migration – will save the taxpayer money.
Migrants will still be able to appeal – but must do so from their country of origin. It is thought that fewer people will then attempt to play the system, sparing the UK taxpayer the cost of holding them in an immigration centre or paying for housing.
The Conservative manifesto is yet to be completed and has undergone a series of re-writes in recent weeks.
But senior Government sources say it will once again contain a target to slash net migration – with renewed focus on removing more people from the country as a way of achieving it.
Mrs May is pressing for a firm restatement of the Prime Minister's 'tens of thousands' target – despite the fact it was missed spectacularly.
David Cameron remains committed to slashing net migration – the number of people arriving in the country against those leaving – which currently stands at 298,000.
By increasing the number of illegal immigrants who are removed from the country, it makes it easier to hit the target. Until now, the focus has been primarily on reducing the numbers coming in.

Mrs May, hinting at the plans earlier this month, said: 'I think we will keep the target. It is important because it is about not just dealing with those coming into the system, but also about making sure that those people who shouldn't live here actually leave.' Tory insiders are satisfied the so–called 'non-suspensive appeals' policy is legally water-tight and will not be derailed by Labour's Human Rights Act.
On a smaller scale, Mrs May has for the past year been deporting foreign criminals under an identical 'deport first, appeal later' regime. So far the move has seen 600 offenders sent home before their appeals were exhausted.
Deportees and their lawyers lodged a series of judicial reviews against the scheme in the hope it would be ruled unlawful. But in a string of test cases, judges found there was no barrier to making foreign offenders lodge their claims from their home countries.
Those kicked out so far include a Nigerian woman who claimed to have a human right to a family life in the UK – despite being convicted of repeatedly beating her own child. Under the old system she could have delayed her case for years by lodging a string of appeals in the British courts.
With an estimated one million illegal immigrants living in the UK, the Home Office has a large group to target. But campaign groups have raised concerns that the department lacks the resources to track them all down.
MigrationWatch said the £1.8billion Britain spends securing borders and removing illegal immigrants and foreign criminals was 'clearly inadequate' – and six times less than the estimated £12billion overseas aid budget. While the number of migrants arriving in the UK has increased sharply in recent years, the number being removed has stayed flat at around 100,000 every year.
The Mail understands Mr Cameron is considering including two different targets in the final manifesto. In addition to the 'tens of thousands' target, he could also opt for a specific pledge to slash net migration from outside the EU – which, unlike EU migration, ministers can fully control.
Earlier this week, research based on an analysis of the British Social Attitudes Survey found voters in every different ethnic group in Britain want immigration reduced. Some 60 per cent of Asian respondents wish to see immigration reduced – 38 per cent by a lot.

NWN: Some of us remember Margaret Thatcher in 1979, when she threatened to clamp down on immigration. We are being swamped she said. And what did she do to stop or even slow down immigration ?  She and the tories did nothing.
The thing is, rather a lot of idiots will fall for Mays lies and vote for the tories.

Englands History - Richard III and Elizabeth II.

Watching all the stuff I could about the burial of Richard III, my own opinion is that the Queen ought to have turned up in Leicester to the re-burial of the medieval monarch. As does many others, the New York Times for example ran a major story a few hours ago.

So I did a search just now, to find out where HM the Queen was today the 26th.March 2015. Apart from being in Folkestone, she was also at Canterbury cathedral.

Rather strange that, as the Archbishop of Canterbury was leading the burial and service at Leicester cathedral.

But there's more.

I'll just post the quote from KENT ONLINE;

The royal party will then travel to Canterbury where the Queen and the Duke will attend a service at the cathedral, and unveil statues of themselves to mark the Diamond Jubilee.

Iain Duncan Smith refuses to meet with food bank charity about poverty – then meets with investment bankers about it instead

The DWP secretary has still not had a meeting with the Trussell Trust

Iain Duncan Smith has refused to meet with Britain’s biggest food bank charity for over a year – but has instead held discussions with an American investment bank about tackling child poverty.
The Trussell Trust confirmed again today that its chairman Chris Mould had still not been granted a meeting with Iain Duncan Smith, despite reports as far back as 2013 that he had requested one.
But this week the Department for Work and Pensions disclosed under government transparency rules that Mr Duncan Smith had held a meeting about child poverty with the US investment bank JP Morgan Chase.

MP Simon Danczuk and acid-tongued broadcaster Katie Hopkins have clashed on Twitter over race relations.
Their Twitter spat raged after broadcaster Hopkins responded to a picture the campaigning Rochdale MP posted of himself with two friends and the flag of Pakistan.
Businesswoman and media columnist Hopkins, who appeared as a housemate on Celebrity Big Brother, hit out at the Labourman’s tweet for ‘raising the Pakistani flag in Rochdale’.
But he posted back immediately, saying the businesswoman could ‘start a fight in an empty room’ and that he wouldn’t take ‘lessons in community cohesion’ from her. The online spat drew hundreds of re-tweets and was followed by thousands of Twitter users, who posted comments in support of them both.

Mr Danczuk, married to ‘Selfie Queen’ Karen, made headlines yesterday by claiming Ed Miliband is seen as more of a ‘toff’ by voters than Prime Minister David Cameron.
The backbencher said his own leader was seen as more ‘aloof’ than the PM and astonishingly went on to claim that voters would consider deputy leader Harriet Harman a ‘f***ing knob’ over the way she handled a party PR gaffe last year.
The Twitter spat however focused on race - and the high-profile Rochdale child sex grooming case.
Hopkins responded to the MP’s reply on community cohesion with the post: “Do NOT lecture me on community cohesion, fool.”
He replied: “Why don’t you ask families of victims here what they think of my stance on this issue? Your racist generalisation doesn’t help.”
Hopkins posted an image of men convicted of offences in relation to the grooming scandal, with the words: “Are these your friends too @SimonDanczuk? Is this why you are raising the Pakistani flag in Rochdale? 77 years inside.”

He replied to her: “I know the damage these men did as I’ve sat with victims and supported them. Our community is healing and yr vitriol won’t stop this.”

Hopkins posted: “Listen @SimonDanczuk - I’ll come to Rochdale, raise the British flag and explain why NO ONE messes with our white girls. Sod your PC tripe.”

In a later post, Mr Danczuk added: “Rochdale has had its problems and no one has spoken on grooming more than me. But to equate every Pakistani with grooming is a racist slur.”

Richard III burial: five centuries on, the last medieval king finally gains honour in death

Thousands gather in Leicester for reburial of Richard III, the last Plantaganet king, whose remains were discovered by archaeologists under a car park

“King Richard III route,” declared signs across Leicestershire on Sunday. “Expect delays.”
It hardly needed to be said. After all, it had taken 529 and a half years for the death of England’s last medieval monarch to be formally marked.

Descendants place white roses on the coffin (AP)
As if to make up for those lost centuries, the first of five days of ceremonies that will culminate in his reburial began with all the pageantry his 15th century funeral had lacked.
Once again, Richard III rode out to Bosworth Field. This time, though, he did not lose horse, crown and life, but was honoured with a 21-gun salute.

In 1485, after becoming the last English king to fall in battle, his naked corpse was dragged across these fields, slung over a horse then buried without ceremony.

Thousands lined the route of the procession (Getty)
On Sunday, his remains left the battlefield to applause before travelling back through the streets of Leicester on a gun carriage. Thousands lined the route of the procession, which passed the council car park where the king’s bones were discovered by a team of Leicester University archaeologists three years ago.
They threw Yorkist white roses in front of the carriage, which was followed by 200 children in school uniform, holding aloft home-made banners honouring the king. One onlooker even let out a passionate cry of “God save King Richard!” before a crown, similar to the one that tumbled from his head on his last day, was placed atop his coffin.
The event began, fittingly enough, on the university campus. The academics who uncovered and identified his remains each placed a single white rose on his coffin, carved from English oak by Michael Ibsen, a descendant of Richard’s sister whose DNA was used to identify the body.
Richard III: A hero maligned by Shakespeare
Richard III: A common criminal
Richard Buckley, wearing the OBE awarded him for his role as the dig’s lead archaeologist, was chief mourner, formally charged with transferring the body from the university to the cathedral, where the Archbishop of Westminster preached a service last night.

Academics are not normally found at the centre of such pageantry. Yet, as the university’s vice-chancellor, Prof Paul Boyle, pointed out, it has now been the custodian of Richard’s body for longer than his two-year reign.
Dr Buckley admitted to feeling a “mixture of excitement and trepidation” at playing such a crucial role. Matthew Morris, the archaeologist who unearthed the skeleton on the first morning of the dig, said he felt “uncomfortable” in his dark suit. “But I couldn’t look shabby,” he said. “This is a very final end to a project, and unusually poignant. Normally you just finish your report, archive the findings and that’s it.”
Crowds, up to eight deep in places, lined the 30-mile route from the city to Bosworth and back.
One caravan bore a hand-painted sign declaring “RIIIP”, but the mood was not of mourning or of celebration but quiet commemoration. Most onlookers remained silent as the hearse passed.

The coffin is carried on a four-wheeled bier at Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre (AFP/Getty)
At the battlefield, his coffin was led out by 14 historical re-enactors dressed as knights in armour beneath hooded black cloaks. In front of a crowd of 2,000, Richard, Duke of Gloucester, lit a beacon that will burn until Thursday in honour of that other Richard, also a Duke of Gloucester.
At the heart of the field, two flags usually fly above a memorial to the dead, bearing the standards of Richard and Henry Tudor, who defeated him in battle that day. On Sunday, only Richard’s standard was flown. There was no place for the Tudors here.
Ricardians — as the king’s modern-day followers style themselves — had travelled from across the world to attend the ceremony. The battle may have ended five centuries ago, but they continue to fight for the reputation of a king portrayed by Shakespeare as a “monster” with a withered arm and who is thought to have killed his nephews, the Princes in the Tower.
Kelly Fitzgerald, a 52-year-old civil servant, travelled from Texas to pay tribute to Richard as well as her ancestor, Lord Greystoke, who also fought at Bosworth. “In 1485, the people who really wanted to mourn for Richard were not allowed to,” she said. “I’m glad to see wrongs being righted.”
Shayne Parkes, a 54-year-old New Zealander, and her husband, Robin Fenwick, included the event in their honeymoon. “We met at a funeral, so it is kind of fitting,” she said. “He seems an underdog and I feel sorry for him.”
Phil Stone, chairman of the Richard III Society, which has sought to rehabilitate the monarch, said he should be remembered as “the good king”. He said: “Far from calling for a horse, he fought on to the very end.”

Philippa Langley, who led the quest to find the remains of King Richard III (Getty)
A similar doggedness marked out Philippa Langley, the mother-of-two from Edinburgh who has been studying the king for 23 years and who first persuaded the university to stage the dig.
Dressed in a dark blue hat and coat, she, too, placed a rose on the coffin before bowing her head.
“This was about seeing Richard as a real historical figure, not as a caricature,” she said. “We gave him as much of the 15th century as we could.”
In his defence: legacy of Richard III revisited as Queen pays tribute to maligned king
The reputation of Richard III was finally restored as the much-maligned monarch was given a tribute fit for a king – and a seal of approval from the Queen, writes Sarah Knapton.

A 21 gun salute is fired near the coffin (Getty)
The king’s remains will lie in repose in Leicester Cathedral until a reinterment service on Thursday. Although the Queen will not attend the service, Buckingham Palace said she has written a tribute in the order of service which acknowledged Richard’s importance to British history.
In a service last night at Leicester Cathedral, the Archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Vincent Nichols, said Richard had been a progressive monarch, championing the rights of the people.
“In his two years as King, he reshaped vital aspects of the legal system, developing presumption of innocence and the practice of granting bail,” said the Archbishop.
The revisionist version of Richard III is in sharp contrast to the figure described by William Shakespeare as a “poisonous bunch-back’d toad” who murdered the Princes in the Tower.
Dr Phil Stone, chairman of the Richard III society, disagreed.
“He was a man of integrity who cared for his subjects,” he said.

NWN: The BBC tried to ram a multi-culti slant yesterday in their coverage of the journey of King Richard into Leicester. They used  non-white reporters and surprisingly found a group of Sikhs to spout the multi culti nonsense of the elitist BBC. But the growing crowds are overwhelmingly white British.

Police intelligence officer gets international accolade for work in investigation of child grooming in Rochdale

Danielle Williams, an intelligence officer who played a crucial part in investigating child sexual exploitation, has received a top award

Crime intelligence analyst at Rochdale station Danielle Williams

A GMP intelligence analyst has won national and international awards for her work in profiling child sexual exploitation - in Rochdale.
The award comes after the force revealed this week that no officers will be disciplined following a probe into how GMP failed victims of child sexual exploitation in the town.
But since those failings the work to tackle CSE has improved dramatically.
Danielle Williams, crime intelligence analyst at Rochdale police station, received a commendation at the Association of Crime and Intelligence Analysts Conference in Manchester for outstanding achievements and innovative development for her work to identify CSE.
She won the national award for her work in problem profiling child sexual exploitation in Rochdale. This accolade has led to her winning the IALEIA Award for Excellence and she will be honoured at a presentation on May 7 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Danielle said: “I was delighted to have won, especially because of the outstanding calibre of nominations. To receive the international award too was such a shock but it was amazing news and a great achievement.
“I am astounded that the work that I have carried out in Rochdale has now been recognised on a global level.”

Crime intelligence analyst at Rochdale station Danielle Williams

Danielle helped to develop a Rochdale Division ‘problem profile’. It is being used as a template for the force and aims to improve learning and consistency even further.
The problem profile for Rochdale was the first of its kind, containing a 108-page report with advice on assessing victims and vulnerable people and disruption and prevention tactics. A number of recommendations were adopted as a result.
Danielle added: “These awards are a great recognition of some of the ground-breaking work that has been carried out by GMP into identifying victims and perpetrators.
“There have been significant changes and learning made since the analysis was carried out and I am immensely proud of everything we have achieved.
“Mistakes were made in the past but this work is proof of how much we have evolved and we will always strive to look for new opportunities to improve even further.
“Children and young people are at the heart of everything that we do because every child deserves a childhood - and safeguarding children is everybody’s business.”

Calls for Sir Peter Fahy to step down over 'whitewash' report into botched Rochdale sex gang probe

Former Detective Margaret Oliver has called on the Chief Constable to resign following the release of a report into grooming in Rochdale

Greater Manchester Police Chief Constable Sir Peter Fahy
A former detective who worked on the investigation into the Rochdale sex grooming gang has called for Chief Constable Sir Peter Fahy to resign over its ‘whitewash’ report into the botched probe.
Margaret Oliver spoke out following the publication of an internal GMP report into the 2008 investigation into a group of Asian men who were preying on vulnerable white girls and sharing them across the north west for sex.
The former detective constable was part of the second investigation, Operation Span, which ended in the jailing of nine men in 2012.
She turned whistleblower and resigned in 2013 after being ‘slapped down’ for making internal allegations that the second investigation had repeated the mistakes of the first.
With responsibility for gaining the confidence of the victims so they could give evidence at the trial, she said sex crimes weren’t recorded properly and that one victim was betrayed by police when her case was dropped on the eve of the trial.
She has spoken out after the publication of GMP’s internal investigation into the original probe, overseen by the Independent Police Complaints Commission, revealed none of the seven police officers involved in the first investigation would face any disciplinary action.
The report, which conceded mistakes had been made, revealed five officers were given management advice while two others who had a case to answer would avoid sanctions, one because he had tried to get more senior officers to expand the investigation but became ‘overwhelmed’, and the second because he retired.
Margaret Oliver
Calling for Sir Peter to step down, Mrs Oliver told the MEN: “This report is a complete whitewash. It just beggars belief. It focuses on the mistakes of officers on the division who have been made scapegoats because of the failures of GMP. It’s a farce. This report doesn’t scratch the surface. It was senior officers including the chief constable who failed to resource the enquiry properly. This problem had bee allowed to grow for ten years. Operation Span repeated the failures of the first investigation and senior officers like Sir Peter ought to be held accountable.”
Sir Peter described her criticisms as ‘unfair’, saying experienced CPS lawyers had made the decision to withdraw one of the victims from the 2012 trial and insisting the second probe had secured nine convictions and brought the sex grooming issue to national prominence.
He conceded there had been ‘mistakes’ in the original investigation, adding that officers were deterred by the difficulty in getting the CPS to charge and when cases got to court the difficulty in gaining a conviction.
He blamed the ‘target culture’ at the time where the Labour Government asked police forces to concentrate on tackling volume crime like burglary.
“It created a an atmosphere and a culture in GMP and nationally where property based crime had a bigger focus than crimes against people which is absolutely shameful,” he said.

Revealed: NO police officers will be disciplined after FOUR year probe into how GMP failed Rochdale grooming victims

No police officers are to be disciplined after a FOUR year probe into how GMP failed to investigate child sexual exploitation in Rochdale

No officers will be disciplined after a probe into how GMP failed victims of child sexual exploitation in Rochdale.
The force probe into the affair has taken FOUR years to publish. It covered botched criminal investigations in 2008 and 2010.
Seven officers were served with misconduct notices after GMP was ordered by the Independent Police Complaints Commission to carry out an inquiry into the force’s inability to protect under-age girls from predominantly Asian gangs who used them for sex.
The seven were interviewed about their decision-making, handling of investigations, and victim care.
They were the former divisional Chief Supt, John O’Hare, a Superintendent, plus two Det Chief Inspectors, two Detective Inspectors, and one Sergeant.
All received management advice regarding their performance.
One Detective Inspector was found to have a case to answer for misconduct but retired before the inquiry could be completed.
By the summer of 2013 force investigators had identified the Det Insp should attend a formal misconduct hearing but they left the force in January 2014.
The report says he failed to produce any meaningful strategy to support a colleague, called ‘Officer 9’
He chose not to properly update or alert his supervision or any member of the Rochdale Division leadership team about the scale of the abuse.
The reason he gave for this - that they had a large workload - was deemed unacceptable.
‘Officer 9’, a detective, was deemed to have warranted misconduct proceedings but the report says he was ‘overwhelmed’ by the task before him.
It says he ‘worked extremely hard to secure evidence, make arrests, and place compelling evidence before specially trained CPS lawyers’.
But he was not sufficiently supported by his line management who he approached for help.
The report adds that when help was not forthcoming he ‘persevered in an attempt to prosecute known offenders and disrupt others.’
It was therefore decided it was ‘inappropriate to punish someone who acted in good faith’.
Eventually evidence he had gathered in 2008 and 2009 was used in a proper well resourced investigation two years later which ended with a trial in May 2012 and the convictions of ten men.
The report says the force failed the victims as the force was focusing on a government driven policy to tackle burglary, robbery, and car crime.
The ‘churn’ of staff at Rochdale police particularly in the inspecting ranks meant leadership of the issue was not maintained.
There was also a lack of understanding of the complexity surrounding child sexual exploitation by all agencies.
The report was delayed after twice being sent back to the force by the IPCC. The first time the IPCC said the contents were not adequate, and in 2012 they had an issue with the ‘style and tone’ of it.
It was finally ready to publish the summer of 2014 but Rochdale council raised concerns about the possibility that some of he victims could be identified from the report.
Finally, a heavily redacted version has been published today.
The report reveals that into total 13 officers were interviewed but only seven served with misconduct notices.
One officer was advised about his behaviour after being caught on film yawning while interviewing a victim at Middleton Police Station.

'Report is clearest admission yet from GMP that they failed vulnerable young girls'

A watchdog and and MP has slammed GMP for its failure to investigate the case properly at the first attempt.
But GMP insist lessons have been learned and improvements made in the force’s culture regarding child protection.
Rochdale MP, Simon Danczuk said: “I’m very disappointed it’s taken so long for this report to come out. It’s been re-written nine times and the offences it refers to date back to 2008. That’s seven years ago and my worry is that some of the offenders that slipped through the net at the time may be still at large abusing children.
“What we’ve learned today is that the police were more interested in investigating the victim rather than the crime and this is completely unacceptable. Today’s report is the clearest admission yet from Greater Manchester Police that they failed vulnerable young girls and yet not one senior officer has been disciplined. Actions like these do not send out a good message and suggest that the impact of these crimes is still not yet properly understood.
DISAPPOINTED: Simon Danczuk
“I remain very much of the view that we saw a massive cultural failing on the part of police in Rochdale and officers failed to grasp the seriousness of crimes in front of them. Child rape and trafficking are among the most serious crimes you’ll ever come across. We need strong leadership to tackle this crime and I think we’re starting to see that now but this report is a reminder that the police need to be scrutinised and held accountable if we’re to ensure the most vulnerable people in our region can access justice.”
IPCC Commissioner James Dipple-Johnstone said: “Although nine offenders were eventually brought to justice by Greater Manchester Police, it is clear vulnerable young girls were let down by how police initially dealt with their concerns.
“There was a failure to recognise the seriousness and scale of what was happening in Rochdale. It is appalling that young girls were being exploited and abused and the police did not handle it properly. Greater Manchester Police has admitted that the focus in Rochdale was on tackling volume crime such as robbery and burglary. The force simply did not recognise how to respond to child sexual exploitation on this scale.”
Mr Dipple-Johnstone added: “Although the supervised investigation has concluded a Detective Sergeant did make individual errors in his handling of the investigation, it would be wrong to place the blame solely on him.
“He highlighted to his superiors that the investigation needed significant resources. His call was not heeded and that failure is puzzling. It took a further three years and the commitment of significant resources to bring the abusers of these girls to justice. With hindsight we must question whether that could have been done sooner, thus preventing these vulnerable girls suffering further abuse.
Mr Dipple-Johnstone said: “This matter was first referred to the IPCC at the end of December in 2010. The original investigative work conducted by GMP failed to look at the supervision of the officers and, as a result, we rejected the report and asked for further work.
“A second report was received but again rejected as it needed work to address the learning from these events. That is disappointing and such delays in the investigation of allegations against officers cannot help public confidence. I have highlighted this with the force and written to the Police and Crime Commissioner for Greater Manchester and Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary to ensure they are sighted on the learning for the force from these events.”
Assistant Chief Constable Dawn Copley, said: “We openly acknowledge that mistakes were made and victims were let down. For our part in that we apologise to the victims and we give them our assurance that lessons have been learned.
“The single most important thing is importance of GMP recognising vulnerability for what it is, acting swiftly and effectively to protect victims and target offenders. In 2008, collectively that ‘s not what happened.
“Since 2010 we have had a number of CSE operations that have targeted offenders across the force, including Operation Doublet, which has so far seen us bring 55 charges against ten people.
“It is clear that mistakes were made in this investigation. We urge victims to come forward knowing that people will take them seriously and investigate what has happened to them. People who abuse children will be traced and brought to justice.”

Unnatural, twisted, and obsessive: Pharmacist Jeremy Oketch jailed for 15 years for filming himself rape toddler

WARNING: This report contains details which may distress some readers

Jeremy Oketch from south Manchester, admitted to raping a two-year-old girl
A pharmacist was exposed as an evil paedophile when his long-term partner found horrific footage of him raping a two-year-old girl he had ‘drugged’.
Manchester Crown Court heard that behind an ‘educated and plausible’ facade, evil Jeremy Oketch hid a ‘deeply unnatural, twisted and obsessive sexual interest in very young children’.
Oketch, of Whalley Range, studied pharmacy in Manchester before being employed as an assistant at a branch of the Everest chain in the city.
He has now been jailed for 15 years and told he will not be released until the Parole Board consider it safe to do so.
He will remain on licence until 2038, after admitting two sex assaults and two rapes, dating back to December 2013.
After winning the trust of the child’s mother, he took Viagra and raped her when he was supposed to be looking after her.
The child’s eerily silent and ‘compliant’ demeanour throughout the footage – described as ‘exceptionally graphic’ by the judge – has sparked suspicions she was groomed and doped with drugs Oketch had access to at work.
Five months after the December 2013 attack, Oketch asked to babysit the child again and subjected her to an even worse ordeal.
He then transferred the footage to a hard drive as a sick trophy.
On July 19 last year, weeks after the second attack, his then partner made the shocking discovery and called the police.
Prosecutor Iain Simkin said: “She stated in that call she had found video of her partner molesting a child – she was distressed and scared.
“She described how he had been in a long-term relationship with him for four years and had cause to consider whether the defendant had been unfaithful to her.
"There had been previous incidents where he had recorded himself having sexual intercourse with other women.
“She went on to check a suitcase hidden on top of the defendant’s wardrobe. Within that there were two hard drives found.
"She viewed the footage and that point discovered that the defendant had been abusing the little girl. She heard a voice say at one point, ‘I need to go to the toilet.’”
Viewing the ‘grotesque’ and ‘horrific’ footage, which lasts fifty minutes, was a ‘difficult and distressing experience’ for even the experienced officers in the case, the court heard.
Prosecutor Iain Simkin added: “There’s a degree of criminality which appears on the DVD which could form more counts than appear, (but) we had to think carefully whether or not a jury could be subjected to (that) sort of video.”.
Mr Simkin said prosecutors had made efforts to see ‘whether it could be proved drugs had been administered’ as a result of how she appeared in the footage but were unable to prove it.
Remorseless Oketch, who the court heard had been ‘stressed’ by delays in his case, gave an account of his behaviour to probation officers after his guilty pleas, even telling them that he ‘didn’t need Viagra the second time’.
The child, who is not related to Oketch, has since shown signs of severe psychological trauma.
Her foster carer told court: “I hate to think what the long term effect will be.
"I only hope due to her age and the passage of time she is able to forget the abuse she has suffered.
"I worry how deeply ingrained the abuse is on her, I worry what the future will hold for her.”
Sentencing, Judge Hilary Manley described Oketch’s behaviour as ‘grotesque, lengthy, horrific, determined, calculated, prolonged and repeated assaults’.
“Most disturbingly of all, it reflects a very high level of control by you over the child, and her submission”, the judge told him.
“Its difficult to comprehend how a child of extreme youth could remain compliant. I’m told she is too young for tests to be carried out on her hair for the presence of the drugs.
“Her almost total silence throughout all of this is the most marked and grotesque aspect.
"You moved her around in different positions as though she were a doll rather than a human child.
“Your offence was only discovered because of suspicions of an entirely blameless woman.”
"Having viewed the footage I take the view this is no need at all for expert evidence as to the overwhelming likely effect of this grave offending on such a young child.
"You present as a plausible and educated individual and you exploited that to your advantage. I note little evidence of remorse.”
Branding him a danger to the public, she added; “You have a deeply unnatural, twisted and obsessive sexual interest in very young children.”

March 7th.2015

These pics were taken after the police in Rochdale 'prohibited' the North West Infidels (NWI) group from demonstrating in the town on Saturday afternoon. The NWI had earlier been banned by the police from demonstrating in Rotherham.

This writer was alerted to something happening in Rochdale town centre by the sight and sound of the police helicopter hovering over the towns magnificent town hall for over an hour.

The EDL were demonstrating in Manchester that same afternoon, so why was the helicopter here ?

A quick mooch into town revealed large numbers of police all around in the town centre. There were more police than members of the public.

NWN is disgusted by the police's  decision to ban 'patriotic groups' from demonstrating their disapproval of all the paedophile grooming activity by asian gangs across the country, but particularly in places like Rochdale and Rotherham.

Patriots caught up by this illegal police action, should if possible, commence court action against the police.

It is a great pity the police cannot do their jobs when asian grooming gangs are operating. Their nationwide decision to turn a 'blind eye' to these grooming gangs for fear of being called racist is criminal and shocking.

After viewing the presence of large numbers of Greater Manchester Police's(GMP)  'Tactical Aid Unit' the GMP's riot police in Rochdale late Saturday afternoon. It is clear that the police are in readiness for demonstrations in Rochdale, after yet another Rochdale asian paedophile gang were in the magistrates only last week. We think they will be kept on their toes !

Masses of police in Rochdale Saturday 7th March 2015.........................and the police helicopter was there, rather than Manchesters EDL demo ?

story and pics to follow.

German ex-lawyer jailed for Holocaust denial - again

Sylvia Stolz had already served time for the same charge, when she defended another Holocaust denier by denying Holocaust herself, signing off legal documents with 'Heil Hitler.'

Sylvia Stolz

In this Feb. 9, 2006 file photo the lawyer of German right wing extremist Ernst Zuendel, Sylvia Stolz, holds files in a court in Mannheim, southern Germany.
A former German attorney with well-known links to the far right has been convicted of Holocaust denial and sentenced to 20 months in prison.
Munich state court spokeswoman Andrea Titz said 51-year-old Sylvia Stolz was convicted of inciting racial hatred for denying the Holocaust in a 2012 speech. She argued during her trial that she was exercising her right to free speech.
Stolz already served time for Holocaust denial after a 2008 conviction related to her defense of notorious Holocaust denier Ernst Zundel, who was convicted himself of the crime in Mannheim in 2007.
Zundel's initial Mannheim trial collapsed after Stolz was banned from the proceedings on grounds she was trying to sabotage them. During the trial, she repeatedly denied the Holocaust and ended a legal document with "Heil Hitler."

Ten men charged as part of investigation into alleged child grooming and sexual exploitation in Rochdale

The probe was launched in May 2012 and the charges relate to seven alleged victims, who were aged between 13 and 23 at the time

Ten men have been charged with a range of offences as part of an ongoing police investigation to tackle child sexual exploitation in Rochdale.
The probe was launched back in May 2012 and the charges relate to seven alleged victims, who were aged between 13 and 23 at the time.
The inquiry has been led by Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team, assisted by the Public Protection Division and centres on child sexual exploitation between 2005 and 2013 mainly in the Rochdale area.
Assistant Chief Constable Ian Wiggett said: “This investigation is one of a number of cases which comes under the umbrella of Operation Doublet, which is the continued investigation into child sexual exploitation that arose following the 2011 investigation into child sexual exploitation in Rochdale.
“The majority of the alleged offences were committed between 2003 and 2013 and focus on reports that teenage girls were sexually exploited by older men. So far 65 people have been arrested as part of Operation Doublet and the investigation continues.”
Officers are currently supporting all alleged victims.
Shayfur Rahman, 31, of Chapel Road, Prestwich, has been charged with one count of rape.
Kutab Miah, 34, of Ramsay Street, Rochdale, has been charged with three counts of sexual activity and one count of rape.
Rehan Ali, 26, of Cleethorpes Avenue, Blackley, has been charged with one count of rape and six counts of sexual activity with a child.
Iklaq Choudhry Hussain, 37, of Mayfield Terrace, Rochdale, has been charged with three counts of sexual activity with a child and two counts of rape.
David Law, 45, of Colmanhay Road, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, has been charged with three counts of conspiracy to commit rape.
Mahfus Rahman, 28, has been charged with three counts of rape and three counts of sexual activity with a child.
Ashfaq Yousaf, 28, has been charged with one count of aiding and abetting rape and rape.
Afraz Ahmed, 32, of Oswald Street, Rochdale, has been charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit rape, two counts of rape and two counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
Mohammed Davood, 37, of Leyland Road, Burnley, has been charged with one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, three counts of rape, one count of sexual activity with a child and one count of sexual assault.
Mohammed Miah, 39, has been charged with three counts of sexual activity and two counts of rape.
Eight of the men are due to make initial court appearances this week and two have already appeared before magistrates.
Nazir Afzal, the north west's chief crown prosecutor, said: "The CPS has been working closely with investigators from Operation Doublet from an early stage in the investigation in connection with this case.
"Having carefully considered all the evidence presented to us we have concluded that there is sufficient evidence and it is in the public interest to charge ten men with these offences and have authorised Greater Manchester Police to do so.
"These defendants now stand charged with serious criminal offences and have the right to a fair trial. It is extremely important that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings."

Jewish Defense League thugs found guilty of assault at Palestine event in London

Photo from the JDL UK website shows Roberta Moore meeting with deputy speaker of the Knesset Moshe Feiglin in Israel.
Two Jewish Defence League UK thugs were today found guilty of assault after they attacked a panel at a Palestine literary festival in September.
Roberta Moore was convicted of two counts of assault and one count of possession of an offensive weapon. Her accomplice Robert De Jonge was convicted of assault.
Both initially pleaded not guilty to all charges, but De Jonge on Thursday changed his plea to guilty for reason of recklessness.
De Jonge argued he had only meant to cause a “distraction” when he rushed the stage and assaulted Andy Simons, the chairperson of the panel and an organizer with Haringey Justice for Palestinians.
But district judge Julia Newton ruled today that De Jonge had acted with full intent to cause injury.
The other man assaulted by Moore was Simon Assaf, who had been invited to the festival to run a stall for Bookmarks, the socialist bookshop. Moore sprayed the two men in the face with “Farb gel” spray paint, which the judge ruled was used in a way consistent with an offensive weapon.
The two were released on bail until sentencing on condition they did not attend any event involving Haringey Justice for Palestinians. Sentencing will take place 23 March. The hearing this week took place over two days.

Fascist thuggery

Victim Andy Simons reacted with relief today. The attack briefly hospitalized him and meant he had to miss the rest of the festival on 20 September 2014.
Simons, 62, a retired British Library professor, told The Electronic Intifada that the attack had taken an emotional toll, leaving him afraid to do further pro-Palestinian charity work.
But he said he felt he had little choice but to testify in court this week, despite feeling intimidated by the two thugs. Moore and De Jonge visibly smirked through much of Simons’ testimony, recounting the assaults.
Simons said today: “This was fascist, Zionist thuggery … they’re driven, they’re messianic, it’s their own strange jihad. A prison sentence, if they get one, will be like a badge in scouts or girl guides. If I didn’t help the prosecution, when they do it next time there wouldn’t be a record – and there probably will be a next time.”
Although Roberta Moore has a previous conviction for fraud, neither of the two have any prior convictions for assault – a relevant factor the judge said she would will take into account when deciding between a fine or a custodial sentence.
The Electronic Intifada understands that Moore and De Jonge have engaged in such attacks before, but that in the past witnesses have been too intimidated to testify.

The JDL UK

Founded by the ultra-racist rabbi Meir Kahane in New York in 1968, the Jewish Defense League has been termed by the FBI a violent terrorist organization. Kahane was later elected to the Israeli parliament, founding the Kach party, which was banned as a terror group even in Israel.
Irv Rubin, JDL leader from the late 1980s until his arrest in December 2001, died in prison in 2002 while awaiting trial for planning a series of bombings against a mosque and the office of Representative Darrell Issa, who is of Lebanese descent.
In 1985, with Rubin as JDL leader, Alex Odeh, a Palestinian-American civil rights leader with the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee was murdered by explosion after a bomb was planted in his office.
The prime suspects in the case belonged to the JDL, but fled to the Israeli colony of Kiryat Arba near the Palestinian city of Hebron (a hot-spot for Kahanist violence).
The Jewish Defence League UK initially appears to have no direct lineage from the US organization. However, the group’s website clearly aligns it ideologically with the JDL, Kahane himself and especially with convicted JDL bomber Vincent Vancier.
Vancier (aka Chaim ben Pesach) spent five and a half years in federal prison for no less than eighteen bombings in New York and Washington in the late 1980s.
Due to this legacy of violence, the JDL UK website dubs Vancier “a Jewish hero.”

“Don’t take photos of me” — Roberta Moore and Robert De Jonge tried to evade reporters outside Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court.
(Asa Winstanley / The Electronic Intifada)
Roberta Moore was formerly a member of the racist anti-Muslim street gang the English Defence League, which has always been extremely pro-Israel.
The Brazilian-born fascist infamously founded the EDL’s supposed “Jewish division” before she left in 2011 claiming to have suddenly discovered the presence of anti-Semites in the far-right group. Other accounts say she was kicked out for being too extreme for even the EDL.
From then on, she started identifying her group as “JDL UK.” In 2012, Moore expressed support for Norwegian killer Anders Behring Breivik, the extremist who in July 2011 massacred dozens of people in the name of protecting Europe’s Christian identity from an imagined Muslim takeover.
Moore and De Jonge live together at a flat in Golders Green, north London. They are a fairly regular presence at Palestine solidarity protests where they harass, intimidate and attack peaceful campaigners.
De Jonge, who wore a crucifix necklace to court, appears to be a Christian Zionist. Extreme anti-Muslim and anti-Arab racism clearly drives them both. De Jonge goes by several different aliases, including “Robert Bartholomeus” or (on Facebook) “Robert Bartholomew,” “Yoel Yossi” or “Joel Yossi” and “Joel Ben Shuleman.”

Dangerous

Moore and De Jonge appear to have a lot of enemies even within the right-wing Zionist movement. The extent to which they really are a “league” is questionable. However, the agenda of extreme violence and racism is clear. Will they one day be facing terrorism charges in the UK? Who has been responsible for their radicalization?

An armed Roberta Moore visiting extremist Israeli settlers in Hebron, in the occupied West Bank.
The JDL UK website boasts a photo of Moore visiting Kahane’s grave in Jerusalem and another of her armed, visiting a shooting course “at the counter terrorist unit in [an Israeli settlement in] Hebron.” During his testimony to the court, De Jonge said that Moore had been in “two different armies, so I know that she can defend herself.”
Perhaps most concerning is the photo at the top of this article: Moore meeting Moshe Feiglin during her trip to Israel (along with Meir Weinstein of the JDL Canada). Feiglin is the deputy speaker of the Knesset, Israel’s parliament. During Israel’s summer 2014 war on Gaza he published a genocidal plan for the total destruction of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
The August Facebook post called for the “conquest of the entire Gaza Strip, and annihilation of all fighting forces and their supporters.”
Moore refused to comment when asked by The Electronic Intifada outside Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court Thursday what she had discussed with Feiglin.

M&S bans customers using the words 'Christ' and 'Jesus Christ' in messages when they are ordering flowers online - but jihad is okay

  • Swear words and the term 'gay' also trigger the same warning
  • Some terms including jihad, Buddha and Allah are accepted
  • Supermarket made aware of problem but have not changed facility

The words 'Christ' and 'Jesus Christ' have been placed on a list of banned words by Marks & Spencer and cannot be used in gift messages.
Customers buying a bunch of flowers who try to add a free message containing them are prevented from completing their order.
An on-screen notification, which pops up if any blocked words are entered, reads: 'Sorry, there's something in your message we can't write.'

'Christ' and 'Jesus Christ' join other banned words including 'f***' and 'gay' - but some terms including jihad, Buddha and Allah are accepted.
'Terrorist' and 'd**k' can also be included in messages.
The policy emerged earlier today after one customer was stopped from buying a £35 bouquet for a funeral because she said in the gift message that it was from a family in 'Christ Church Teddington'.
When Gerardine Stockford, 53, phoned customer services an employee told her that it must be a blocked word, according to The Sunday Times
Lord Carey, a former Archbishop of Canterbury, was shocked.
He said: 'If Christ becomes an offensive word in a Christian land then all of us should be alarmed.'
