If you needed proof that the world of beauty is trying much too hard, just look at rainbow roots, ribbon eyeliner, holographic lips, and every other recent beauty trend that requires a whole load of faff just to look good on Instagram.

Our response to this is usually just a deep sigh and a declaration of: ‘that’s nice, but I can’t be arsed doing it.’

19-year-old Asia Brautigam took to Twitter yesterday to share her take on creative makeup fit for Instagram: dickliner.
Dickliner is, as the name would suggest, drawing a penis as the wing of your standard eyeliner look.
If you want bonus points, add some balls in the inner corner of your eye.
As with any great makeup look, Asia’s art inspired other beauty enthusiasts to try it out for themselves.
Not even kidding, I’m considering trying this out for work tomorrow.
