As you know, the Manchester Evening News is holding a hustings debate ahead of the Salford mayoral election.
You will also be aware of our long-standing editorial policies regarding the BNP.
I believe you might have received an invitation to attend the hustings debate. Unfortunately - and according to our policy - this should not have been issued, and must be withdrawn.

NWN: We have known about the MENs views and editorial policy since the mid 1970s.
No surprises to us but at last we now have evidence of a major newsgather and their impartiality, which affects any news gathering they might do in the future.
