As nationalists we need to start thinking out of the (paraochial) box, raising our sights and ambitions and developing strategeis bassed on what is changing on the national, European and global levels.

We have to keep one step ahead of how the world is evolving, which will bring new problems and obstacles as well as political benefits and opportunities.

Whether this means that we need to develop loose coalitions of cellular structures, or continue in building more hierarchical party structures remains to be seen. We perhaps do need to begin experimenting now and maybe the events of Dec/Jan within the BNP and the development of the Democratic Nationalists and others will serve as a template. Topmarks to Simon for broaching the idea.

Certainly, whether by stupoid incompetent default, or by design, the Darby and Joan (Griffin) Road show has managed to derail the BNP with their crass misjudgments and idiocy, with the selction of candidates like John Martin, Simon Goodricke and Erickson as well a stheir crass indifference in recating to candidate's failures (eg Richard Barnbrooke's infidelity and Erickson's vile sexist stupidity).

But let us all put ourselves behind those brave independent nationalist candidates who are not seeking personal glory but are standing for their principles against the Griffin-poisoned debased values of the current BNP.
Respect to you all.

Finally, nationalism must evolve organically and not be frightened of change - else it will stagnate and wither. All nationalists must be fre to debate and speak the unthinkable so that we can prepare strategies. Can we build a mass movement based on a BNP with a new charismatic leader, or should we begin developing alternative strategies based on cellular organisations? Or maybe both if nationalists can work togeether without greed and ego getting in the way.

Mr PotterAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32095749.post-27047144008896671142008-05-01T12:13:00.000+01:002008-05-01T12:13:00.000+01:00"Simon Smith is right. A place to share ideas where we can advance as individuals, and be soley responsible for our own actions.

The round tableAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32095749.post-50725211423853674022008-04-30T20:03:00.000+01:002008-04-30T20:03:00.000+01:00Simon Smith is right. Leaderless resistance (the cellular, horizontal type of organisation) is the one thing that the State really fears.

The comment about 5IMon Darby rushing though candidates is nothing new. Darby has a history of pushing obvious liabilities whose standing can do the party nothing but harm. Is he responsible for Simon Goodricke (a corrupt and convicted former police officer) standing in Barnsley?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32095749.post-53199576468058383992008-04-30T19:45:00.000+01:002008-04-30T19:45:00.000+01:00The Freedom Party and many others have tried to po...The Freedom Party and many others have tried to point out that something is needed with far more potential than the party with a few councillors and providing livings for those few who can cling on to Griffin.

But nationalism has been so demonised since the 1960s that nationalists tend to have very limited expectations about what can be done. That is why Griffin is able to sell his line about the BNP being 'Britain's last hope'. If Mr Average Nationalist gets a parish council seat or two he thinks himself in clover.

At the moment little can be done electorally so it does not matter too much but there is a huge change brewing in attitudes. The point is how this can be exploited politically. A BNP which is run on the basis of keeping its owner in place above all else is not going to be a big factor. There will not be the human resources.

Griffin is hardly a magnetic figure able to build a mass movement based on his personality. I need not mention examples.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32095749.post-24713626243171322682008-04-30T17:48:00.000+01:002008-04-30T17:48:00.000+01:00Good luck to Ian, and JulianGood luck to Ian, and JulianAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32095749.post-57408030363640212662008-04-30T17:47:00.000+01:002008-04-30T17:47:00.000+01:00"The BNP candidate who is standing against him is ..."The BNP candidate who is standing against him is John Martin.
